If 6th March, 2005 is Monday, what was the day of the week on 6th March, 2004?
Answer: Option
Explanation:
The year 2004 is a leap year. So, it has 2 odd days.
But, Feb 2004 not included because we are calculating from March 2004 to March 2005. So it has 1 odd day only.
The day on 6th March, 2005 will be 1 day beyond the day on 6th March, 2004.
Given that, 6th March, 2005 is Monday.
6th March, 2004 is Sunday (1 day before to 6th March, 2005).

I guess it should be Saturday, as 2004 March is after Feb, so Feb gets automatically calculated while considering March, 2004 being the leap year, every day gets moved to another +1, thus 2005 March 6th should be a Saturday, (in total +2) logically, and based on calculation as well it gives Saturday.
Am I right?

See, because we have to count from 6th march to 6th march, (2004 is leap year just because of Feb so the extra one day is not included).
So we have to count between 1 year means 365 days.
So 365/7 = 52 as qt and 1 as remainder so basically we have to move back one day from the given day which is Sunday.
So we have to count between 1 year means 365 days.
So 365/7 = 52 as qt and 1 as remainder so basically we have to move back one day from the given day which is Sunday.

Saturday is not correct as it is mentioned 6th March 2005 is Monday (and this is imaginary and not taken from any actual date from the calendar). So 6th March 2004 will be accordingly an imaginary date and can't be counted using controversial odd day count method.
I think it will be helpful. Thank you.

Isn't it Saturday right answer?
As from 6th March 2004 to 5th March 2005, we have one day. And 2 odd days till 6th March 2005. Which implies if 6th march 2004 is xth day then 5th march 2005 is (x+1)th day then comes 6th march which is (x+2)th day => if (x+2)th day is Monday then x is Saturday.

Saturday is the correct answer.
The year 2004 was a leap year
2000years correspond to 0odd days.
3years have 3odd days.
From first Jan to 6th march 2004: there are 66 days which implies 3odd days.
Total odd days is 6 days.
Therefore, 6th March 2004 was a Saturday even the calendar shows.

Yes this answer is absolutely correct ! because if there is given questions like this, in which it is given difference of 365 days that is 1 year there is always a difference of 1 day but if there is a difference of 366 days that is a leap year it becomes a difference of 2 days.

Answer is correct because assumption is increase one day according to the calendar that's why answer is correct. According to calendar 6th march 2005 is Sunday but they assume Monday. Saturday is correct but increase one day because questions is assume Monday instead of sunday.

I think the answer is Saturday.
Because,
2000 = 0 odd day
2001 = 1 odd day
2002 = 1 odd day
2003 = 1 odd day.
Total (2001-2003) = 3 odd days.
2004 [Jan(31) + Feb(29) + Mar(06) = 66 days.
; 66/7 = 9 weeks 3 odd days.
Total odd days = 0 +3 + 3 = 6.
So, 6 is Saturday.
Because,
2000 = 0 odd day
2001 = 1 odd day
2002 = 1 odd day
2003 = 1 odd day.
Total (2001-2003) = 3 odd days.
2004 [Jan(31) + Feb(29) + Mar(06) = 66 days.
; 66/7 = 9 weeks 3 odd days.
Total odd days = 0 +3 + 3 = 6.
So, 6 is Saturday.

Its correct that one extra odd day of 2004 (leap year) will not be included means we will take 365 days but from 6th march 2004 to 6th march 2005 is 1 year one day (366 days) (ex. 1st january to 31st december = 1 year but 1st jan to 1st jan = 1 year 1 day).

I also think the answer is wrong.
Because,
No of odd days in 2000 years = 0.
No of odd days in 3 years= 3.
No of odd days till 6th March, 2004 = 3 (66/7; the remainder is 3).
So, the total number of odd days= 6.
So, I think the answer must be Saturday.
Because,
No of odd days in 2000 years = 0.
No of odd days in 3 years= 3.
No of odd days till 6th March, 2004 = 3 (66/7; the remainder is 3).
So, the total number of odd days= 6.
So, I think the answer must be Saturday.
