As for as is my concerned that rule is very necessary for everyone life because it provides us a discipline and discipline is only the by which person can scienctilate their power in the world. Rule word is not only for saying this is related to our daily routine and regulations. Suppose we are a student|/scholar then we will have show our rules and Will have to make manner for self control. I shouldn't accept that type of rule that is against our thinking or against to our nation, if take the example of British government they imposed lot of rule over the Indian that was not necessary like toilet act, English become compulsory on that time, temple tax pits India act. So this is not a ideal rule we should follow only the rule which is in our favour or in our country favour. Thank you.

Look at it this way. Noone is saying go break all rules. The proverb is meant to convey that rules are made when a different way of doing thing cause problems. We pick or create a rule when one way is considered the "right" way. If everyone did things just one way there would be no need for a rule. Rules are meant to be broken - otherwise, why make the rule.

Rules are not meant to be broken because without rules & regulation our life like an animal, rules make for the betterment of mankind. Rules are not a foundation, they give us systematic approach. Rules as guidelines i.e. made for safety purpose, if we do not follow traffic rules then our life is at risk, so without rules life is risky. We go to school or college or office by fixed time clock because this is a rule & rules maintain discipline in our life. Rules followed by all citizens for make civil life. Without rules, we do not enjoy our life. Rules indicate to us equally to each other because rules are same for everyone. Rules help in attaining success. Rules help to go on right direction for achieving our goals in a proper manner. So our happy life totally depends on rules.

Thank you.

We should follow rules unless they aren't harming us or anyone if they aren't snatching our freedom. And when it comes to self-defense then definitely rules need to be broken because no one wanna lose his/her life for just being sincere to some kind of useless rules. Example :-if you see a girl being groped by some fellow guys then according to rule you should inform the police but what if you have no time, then the rule need to be broken and you have to take some strong actions to save that girl.

Hi.

According to me rules are not meant to be broken and should not be. Because rules are made for the betterment of mankind. If we break one rule then it will be replaced by another. If we don't obey the rules then it will be harmful for us only. For an instance now a days people wear helmet will riding bike when they have fear to be caught by police and they have to fine. But they should wear a helmet to save themselves because it is not a matter of him but his family. If we follow rules then we can grow and live a happy life weather it is a road, academy or anything else.

Thank you.

In my point of view, rules are not meant to be broken. If we break one rule then this is a reasons for creation of new rule ie guidelines. Rules are not ment as a boundation but they give us systematic approach.

So its better to follow rule.

In order to this discussion, I want to share my views about this topic. Rules is made to regulate the system to achieve the individual's or group's goal. So, the rules should not be broken.

It seems that people don't like rules as they represent a type of restriction, but infact life cannot be organised without rules. We need rules to help us to get along together and show respect to each other.

Rules are not meant to be broken. If rules are meant to be broken then there would be an other name for rules i.e. guidelines. Rules are made for the safety of a person. If you consider traffic rules if you do not follow traffic rules then your life is at risk. Even in schools or colleges, we go to school by 9 clocks because this is one of the rules. What if we break this? Then no student will follow discipline in his life because sometimes we get habituated to the things we learn in the school. So rules are not meant to be broken.

Thank you.

Thank you, friends, for sharing your valuable points.

Here, I want to add my views on the topic.

Rules are not meant to be broken.

Rules are equal to success (result).

For example: - if an athlete is preparing for his national championships. (any sports) that he is going to be part of it after a month, and he is not following his daily routine like practice, diet plan etc, then the result would be not as expected (winner).

So point is that rules should not be broken.

But in some cases, we can break the rules when it is mandatory, but it should not harmful to others.

Thank you.
