Social media is used to make a connection with friends, customers, client, family, colleagues etc. Social media is a powerful platform in our society and the world through social we can communicate all around the world. We can get all news of the world in a few minutes. By social media, we can chat with a new friend and old friend. We can get the latest updates of games and videos. But a coin has to poses head and tail as same social media has to probability sometimes some bad effect of social media in the world like as we get the fake news this news make the pandemic situation in our country. Now a few times ago when our country facing a pandemic situation of covid -19 then much fake news was coming through the social media. And they make over the pandemic situation. Some other bad effects of social media like as many people are addicted of social media like as FB WhatsApp I think it only depends on us how we use it in positive or negative. Thanks.

I'm Saurabh Kumar and I am glad to start the discussion on the topic impact of social networking sites actually social networking sites have really emerged as the most powerful networking medium because they connect many people at one stage or platform which provides the impact on this generation people as well as old generation like in today world most of the people are addicted to the social networking sites like WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, etc by which they addicted to this and also child knows that type of things which is not good for them which really impact on the mindset of the children. But it totally depends upon how you use it if you use it for some good purpose like education and current affairs which enhance the value of life or they connect with their loved ones then it's good but if you use it for time pass or for getting like then it's not valuable actually it's all about to add value to the life not getting likes.

I think social media is only good unless you consume it to a limit. Like any other thing, even social network sites also have two faces to them. The positive one is when you use the network for positive works like news consumption, daily updates, and having a regular update on your friends, but just for a limited time in a day, like for 1-2 hrs might be enough, then it's a positive thing to have. Social networks can even be used for e-commerce.

Nowadays, many emerging brands or startups have been using social networks to grow their brand and increase their revenue by connecting with their potential customer efficiently and effectively.

Now, coming to the negative aspects, like using social networking for too long, wasting time on it by watching reels or chatting unnecessarily with friends, even consuming negative news or falling prey to fraud occurring in social networks is wasting not only a person's valuable time but also their money.

Social media sites have pros and also some cons. Pros are that with the help of social media sites, we can gain knowledge and get some informative information with the help of YouTube we can study or prepare for competitive exams without taking any paid coaching.

Everything is available on YouTube and also with the help of telegram we can follow some alumni or people from whom we can get valuable information about our careers.

Instead of that there are some cons also due to excessive use of it we can lose our eyesight and be mentally disturbed. Nowadays, 4 or 5-year-old children also use these sites due to this they can not develop their minds physically and cannot focus on studying and developing their minds.
But some people take it as a source of information and can achieve success.
So, finally, it has some bad or good impact on us it only depends on the user.

There are some negative impacts of social media. Some people misuse of social media makes fake accounts and blackmail people. Students cannot concentrate on their studies and also some working people use net during working hours and its impacts on their office works. The best example is Linked In, the Adult version of Instagram with formalities.

Nowadays, people have stared creating groups that encourage others to take up different activites, guiding them to prepare for various competitive examinations and what not.

However, each coin has two sides. Simlilarly, with the increasing use of technology, the impact of social sites has taken a turn. People spend much of their time in surfing these social networking sites, which in turn increases the strain on their eye's sometimes leading to eye damage and other eye related problems.

Thus, I would like to conclude by saying that using social networking sites in right direct will definately have a positive impact on us.

Social media is a tool me. With an eg. I can make understand my point, for eg we have a knife a housewife will use it in the kitchen to cut vegetables and fruits and it will be utilised in our day-to-day life to make things work easier, but that same knife is used in campaign, that knife is also used by army solider or commandos and many police officer to protect or kill their enemies, so like this way social media is a tool you can use it for entertainment purposes or you can use it for making money, for marketing and many more.

As per me, there is nothing good and bad but how you use what is your intention for using the tool described and whether it is good or bad for you and society?
