In social networking sites we can't directly say there impacts because social media having advantage as well as disadvantages also so first I start with advantages social media helps to connect with friends and family members who are living far from us and it is help in education because nowadays online education having high demand and helps in marketing, hiring for jobs and also it is one of the way to earning money by making videos or reels and social media also helps in exploring the ideas or thought to all our word these are infinite benefits of social networking now I am going to share some thought about disadvantages like some peoples are misused the social media by uploading the MMS, footage which are not good for those student having age under 18, and also hacking is there and youngers are using to much social media this not good for there own health.

Let's first talk about the pros first social networking sites such as Instagram, Facebook and twitter help to people to get interact with each other virtually and help to spread the news and give information about programs that is happening in anywhere in the country it is also used for entertainment purposes. Because of social media sites brands can promote their product all over the world without going physically.

Social media sites have cons also such that students wasting their time so much on social media sites. Also, rummers and fake news also spread all over the world suddenly which gives false information and negative impact in society.

People use social media site for bad purposes also such as online gambling various scam also happing on social media site.

Let's discuss the advantages :-.

As we know the live example of social media during the time of COVID-19 we all were studying from home Teachers also taught us from their homes. It's a great advantage to connect with people from anywhere, anytime during COVID we all were connected with our family through social media such as Instagram, WhatsApp chat, video calls, and so on. By using social media we can upskill ourselves, we can do courses from it which is related with our field.

Let's move on disadvantages:.

Nowadays people are using social media more they don't know how it will impact their lives or health issues. We are seeing this because fraud cases growing continuously, and hacking cases are increasing. Children are spending so much time on social media like scrolling.

According to me social media has both pros and cons.

If I talk about pros there are many uses of social media.
if anybody wants to learn something or anybody wants to do something then social media helps them. Because there are many channels for everything whatever we want to learn there is an option also to create our own channel to show our talent; we can create channel like food blogging, find new places, handicrafts, music, dance, games, etc. We can show our talent with the help of our channel.

If I talk about its cons there are also many disadvantages of these sites. People are busy on their phones only. Many people are wasting their time on watching reels, videos, or playing games.

If we are using this for fun then it is good to reduce our stress but if it is used continuously then it can become stressful for our life. Maybe we can face many problems regarding our health like down eyesight, hearing problems, mental issues, overthinkers etc.

- We can use it to communicate with our friends.
- We will remain updated with all happenings in our surroundings.
- We can interact with professionals through various social media platforms for example LinkedIn.
- Even people who are not good at socializing can share their views through social media platforms.
- We can use them as a medium to gain knowledge .
But it has a negative side too;
- Sometimes reciprocating our emotions through social media is not possible because emotions can't be expressed with emojis(which are used widely these days).
- Socializing in person has been reduced due to social media.
- It has become a major distraction for youths and younger generations.
- It has become a major platform for spreading false news and information rapidly.

We all know that social networking has a lot of pros. I want to put the cons points forward.

Yes, its true that everything that we use should be limited. All the scams that are held by scammers, all the crimes that are held by cyber criminals are because of this social networking. Recently the deepfake images of Actress Rasmika Mandana, and Alia Bhatt went viral very shortly. To make their videos viral, people can post anything without thinking about the after-effects of those videos or images. Also, scammers make fake accounts of you seek financial help from your friends, and then deactivate that accounts. In India, a lot of people don't know how to handle social media so by just replying to a message, their all-time savings can be theft by scammers.

Yes, there are a lot of advantages to using social media but it should be used in the right ways we should be alert enough while using this and we should have proper knowledge of something before we use it.

Social media is used to make a connection with friends, customers, client, family, colleagues etc. Social media is a powerful platform in our society and the world through social we can communicate all around the world. We can get all news of the world in a few minutes. By social media, we can chat with a new friend and old friend. We can get the latest updates of games and videos. But a coin has to poses head and tail as same social media has to probability sometimes some bad effect of social media in the world like as we get the fake news this news make the pandemic situation in our country. Now a few times ago when our country facing a pandemic situation of covid -19 then much fake news was coming through the social media. And they make over the pandemic situation. Some other bad effects of social media like as many people are addicted of social media like as FB WhatsApp I think it only depends on us how we use it in positive or negative. Thanks.

I'm Saurabh Kumar and I am glad to start the discussion on the topic impact of social networking sites actually social networking sites have really emerged as the most powerful networking medium because they connect many people at one stage or platform which provides the impact on this generation people as well as old generation like in today world most of the people are addicted to the social networking sites like WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, etc by which they addicted to this and also child knows that type of things which is not good for them which really impact on the mindset of the children. But it totally depends upon how you use it if you use it for some good purpose like education and current affairs which enhance the value of life or they connect with their loved ones then it's good but if you use it for time pass or for getting like then it's not valuable actually it's all about to add value to the life not getting likes.

I think social media is only good unless you consume it to a limit. Like any other thing, even social network sites also have two faces to them. The positive one is when you use the network for positive works like news consumption, daily updates, and having a regular update on your friends, but just for a limited time in a day, like for 1-2 hrs might be enough, then it's a positive thing to have. Social networks can even be used for e-commerce.

Nowadays, many emerging brands or startups have been using social networks to grow their brand and increase their revenue by connecting with their potential customer efficiently and effectively.

Now, coming to the negative aspects, like using social networking for too long, wasting time on it by watching reels or chatting unnecessarily with friends, even consuming negative news or falling prey to fraud occurring in social networks is wasting not only a person's valuable time but also their money.
