Hello friends,

I think brain drain is causing a serious problem to our states and country as well. We have a huge population in which maximum percentage is of those who are backward in the socio-economic growth. And the rest with some special skills and talents are leaving their region. Talking about my state, Jharkhand, we lack no where in resources both in mineral and raw materials.

But when it comes to using these boon, we have handful of old workers using old techniques. Its mainly because the new born talents and the brilliant brains are settling in Banglore, the technical hub. Its more of a selfish move, once you are groomed well, do you leave your parents and get on to a well established apartment? It's your choice anyway.

But why do people fail to understand that where there is high level of growth (like in regional case, Bangalore and at national level USA) , the competition is also tough, once they find someone more magnetic they will take no time in kicking you out. Well, in case of those developing regions, where you are needed you, at least have a respect, stability and salary of course.

All you need is a confident over yourself to stand out of the crowd and do something using your that skill which will bring a change.

You talk about serving your motherland. So many freedom fighters and social workers have sacrificed and died for this country, how many Indians actually know any of their names? In fact, under the current PM, someone like Mahatma Gandhi is also being relegated and maligned. Do you know whose technological innovations (in the areas of agriculture, manufacturing or consumer electronics) have most significantly improved the lives of everyone in the country? You DON'T.

You are treating your fellow citizens as if they are *slaves and bonded labor* who are required to *serve* their master. This is exactly the kind of backward mindset that has stifled India's progress and innovation. Countries develop by treating every citizen as free people who are entitled to live their own lives. Hey, Indians that go abroad have done so purely on the basis of their hardwork. If anyone else wants better lives, then they better work hard too. You are asking people who've earned their worth through immense hardwork, integrity and discipline to sacrifice for a set of people most of whom have done not even 1% of that hard work. If you want to attract talent and industry and innovation, then make yourselves worthy of it. Things will come to India naturally.

Brain-Drain is loss of some talented resources (like technical and intellectual personnel). This loss is due to migration of such people due to lack of opportunities, conflicts etc.

Brain Drain can be stopped by recognizing “genuine” talent rather than donations etc. There should be more trade and exchange of goods. More job opportunities should be provided to people.

Employees in India leave the country and opt for studies abroad only because they can work and study. In India, this is not possible.

People here are barely able to save. Due to this, the professionals prefer to stay out of the country for better prospects and save money.

Universities need to offer opportunities not just for studies but also for jobs on campus. This way students can also work and study. If they can get such provisions in their own country, Brain-Drain can definitely be stopped.

The other side of the coin can be seen from a positive perspective.

If people go out for future studies, they do come back to their home country. This means more talent and experience is welcomed.

No matter what we do, brain drain cannot be stopped because of the mindset of people. However, if measures are taken, it can be controlled.

According to me, brain drain is serious problem that is being faced by our country because

1. Our country has the lion share of youth in world.
2. We have most outstanding students in world.

Now lets take an example of big institutions like NASA ,where Indians are given imp positions and paid high but in our country the caste, influence of politics both in and out of the job, pressure from seniors, discouraging peer group etc., are the major causes for brain drain.

How it's going to effect?

1. Per capita decreases.
2. Creamy layer of talent goes out,so majority of hired people are not efficient.
3. unemployed literate is major threat to a country than a terrorist,so there maybe security threats(ex:IS group has talented hackers, engineers who was unemployed)

Way forward:
1. Irrespective of caste, consider the talent of individual
2. create employment opportunities not necessarily IT but other means like recruit NDRF, sports development offers, Industries where the spare parts for missiles etc., will be produced. Just have an objective that day of a common man goes undisturbed, they must be in a position to educate next gen, feed family, do the job. But not idle.

Well, speaking of brain drain first we should acquaint ourselves with the meaning of the term. It means students who are granted some sorts of scholarships and are provided education at a nominal fee so that they can get the best education and can take the country to pinnacle with their knowledge but when such allied students instead of serving their country serve other countries then brain drain takes into form.

I think that brain drain should not be given much highlight because in a real sense it is not a problem because we all are in era of globalization where people, goods and services are utilized to their fullest use crossing the country frontiers. So if we banned their migration from country to other in concern of brain drain than it would be fruitless on part of persons who think that the country does not have enough funds or resources which can facilitate them to do experiments and research.

In my opinion, govt should strive for building a structure which should provide best facilities so that not only the Indian candidates restrain themselves from visiting other countries but also foreigners are attracted to come and do research in India.

Hi, everyone. Today our youth is more attracted towards working in foreign countries than in India. It takes a lot of time and effort to make a child educated and when the time comes to serve the beloved country our youth tends to get allured by foreign packages. Our country has got a vast number of opportunities in terms of job-related in every sector like medical, engineering, commercial, defense, etc. But due to lack of attractive salary, unemployment, lack of money, temporary settlement people tend to look for better opportunities in foreign countries.

People are more attracted to foreign nations as they provide permanent settlement, attractive salary, better lifestyle, better opportunities only a fool will reject this offer we tend to lack the spirit of nationality and we forget about our nation's progress. I strongly believe if our govt pay proper attention and effort towards making an attractive career opportunities for our youth by changing the plans related yo employment and providing better wages and salaries at home. Then that day will not be far when people from foreign nations will come to India for better opportunities.

Good evening everyone.

Today, I am going to put my point of view towards brain drain. First of all, we have to know what is brain drain it is all about losing of Indian talents abroad for getting good earning and more career prospects. Presently, the number of youngsters who is emigrating to other developing countries has been increased as we compare to the last few years.

There are many reasons to leaving this country because of lack of opportunities, and to get a better life there and reservation is also one of the factors for brain drain. This been also increasing because the developed country also hiring this talent at low cost.

I think brain drain is like a medicine which will be only fruitful if it is taken in a limited amount otherwise it will never have a benefit. If these youth return to India after acquiring the knowledge and serve there own country then it will be definitely called a reverse brain drain.

At last, I would like to conclude that if these talents are not given opportunities asap then brain drain will spread like a disease and India will lose it's own talent and will take time to become a developed country.

The ONLY way nations have progressed is via free enterprise and minimal government. People who have genuine interest in the development of a country will try to understand what is actually needed for development rather than spouting off their jealousies against NRI's in the name of patriotism.

As long as Govt control doesn't reduce, India will continue to get stuck. And a few people, primarily politicians and their friends will continue to amass wealth at the expense of everyone else. As long as there are people (like so many on this forum) supporting crooked politicians whose speeches resonate with their own feelings, and who have more respect for criminal leaders than well-educated, honest, hard-working people, India will continue to suffer immensely. Perhaps even going through a civil war in the future.

There is no way out of this, especially with aggressive youth with no clue of development supporting crony leaders that make them feel superior for being Indians and promise all kinds of fake development. Governments don't achieve progress, people do. All governments can do is stifle that progress with all kinds of speeches.

Hi all.

I'd like to share my views on brain drain. In a country like India where we find the higher working class Example doctors, engineers everywhere round the corner I feel there is no such thing like brain drain.

In a society where education is given so much importance and at the same time being employed is a part of prestige and dignity people would like to be employed and that too with a good salary or a good pay.

When people don't find the kind of job or salary they prefer they would naturally try to find out jobs abroad.

I don't think anyone would like to go to any other country leaving their homeland and relatives. But many of them are forced to move to other countries maybe because they would be offered better salaries or better job facilities.

In a country like India where the lower classes are given higher priorities in terms of education and government quotas the people in the middle class often don't get the jobs they want.

In that case we can't question them on why they would like to shift to other countries which give them higher salaries and acceptable standards of living and good job environment.

First, we will start by learning what brain drain is so friends brain drain is that the education which we need to make ourselves capable of achieving our dreams is taken from one country nd then these intelligent minds work for other countries to make them more developed. Now, what is the cause of brain drain, why people are running for other countries when they can work in their own country?

Answer to these questions is that they are not getting a right platform, right position, workplace, appreciation and right people to encourage them and use their ideas and more which they are getting easier in other countries where they are highly paid, well appreciated, provided with equipment and proper materials and more. So if this was done in our country then there was no need for people to run away and work for others. So brain drain should be stopped so that these intelligent and intellectual minds will work for the development of our country. So it will only be possible if proper facilities will be provided to them and will be granted all the things needed for country growth.
