10+20+22+100=152 why because capacitors series.

C = C1+C2+C3+C4....+Cn.

Ceq = C1+C2+C3+C4.

Ceq = 10+20+22+100 = 152.

Capacitors series and parallel combination is opposite to the resistors series and parallel connection hence total capacitance in parallel is equal to the sum of all capacitances. i.e C = C1+C2+C3+C4+...+Cn.

Capacitances are additive when connected in parallel.
therefore,
C = c1+c2+c3+c4

CT = C1+C2+C3+C4.

= 10+20+22+100.

= 152 MICRO FARAD.

ANSWER IS D.

It is opposite to that of resistance i.e.

In resistors we add them when connected in series.

Whereas in capacitors we add them when connected in parallel.

While connecting capacitors in parallel we will add them to get right value.

i.e., 10+20+22+100 and which is equal to 152 microfarad.

You add capacitors in parallel.

Total capacitance=10+20+22+100.

152uF - Right answer.

Simply resistance added directly in series and capacitance are added directly into parallel.

Capacitance=c1+c2+c3+c4.

=10+20+22+100.

=152uf.
