The Andhra Pradesh government approved the creation of three new districts Polavaram, Markapuram, and Madanapalle bringing the total number of districts in the state to 29. This restructuring was cleared by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and also included the establishment of five new revenue divisions: Nakkapalli, Addanki, Pileru, Banaganapalle, and Madakasira. Additionally, a new mandal named Pedda Harivanam was created by carving it out of Adoni in Kurnool district. The decision aims to improve administrative efficiency, enhance governance, and ensure better access to public services across the state.

Punjab declared Anandpur Sahib, Talwandi Sabo, and the Galiara surrounding the Golden Temple as holy cities through a unanimous resolution passed in a historic Assembly session held at Anandpur Sahib. This decision reflects the state’s commitment to preserving the sanctity of significant Sikh religious sites. The resolution also imposed a complete ban on liquor, meat, and tobacco within these holy areas to maintain their spiritual and cultural purity. The session was convened to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur, emphasizing his ideals of sacrifice, religious freedom, and universal brotherhood.

The ‘Rythanna Meekosam’ initiative was launched by the Andhra Pradesh government on November 24, 2025, aiming to support farmers through a comprehensive Five-Point Formula. The program focuses on water security, demand-based cultivation, agri-tech adoption, food processing expansion, and government backing. It also includes financial support, technology adoption, and market linkages to modernise agriculture and improve farm profitability. Spearheaded by Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu, the initiative seeks to create a sustainable and resilient agricultural ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh, directly benefiting farmers across the state.

The Dr Talimeren Ao Junior Girls National Football Championship 2025–26 (Tier-2) commenced at the Chümoukedima Football Stadium in Nagaland, marking a significant milestone for the state. This edition is especially notable because it is the first time Nagaland has hosted a national-level football tournament. The event also carries cultural and historical importance, as it honours Dr. Talimeren Ao, a renowned footballer and physician from Nagaland. By hosting this championship, the state showcases its growing sports infrastructure and commitment to promoting youth football, while also celebrating the legacy of one of its most respected sporting icons.

The pellet plant and the K2 Bio-Ethanol plant were inaugurated in Rewari, Haryana, marking a significant step toward sustainable environmental practices in the region. The pellet plant aims to produce 240 tonnes of biomass pellets per day using stubble, helping reduce the issue of crop residue burning. By converting agricultural waste into ethanol and biomass pellets, the project supports India’s E20 Mission and long-term Net Zero 2070 commitments. Such initiatives not only promote cleaner energy alternatives but also create local economic opportunities while addressing environmental challenges linked to air pollution and waste management.
