The Indian Air Force concluded the week-long counter-drone exercise ROTOR CLAP III at the Pokhran Field Firing Range in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Conducted with the theme "Counter-UAS" (Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems), the exercise focused on tackling emerging drone threats through realistic combat simulations. It validated mission planning, rapid response, and interoperability among various helicopter platforms operating in desert terrain. The exercise also included reconnaissance, troop insertion, casualty evacuation, and battlefield support missions. Pokhran, located in the Thar Desert, is also historically significant as the site of India's 1974 and 1998 nuclear tests.

Arunachal Pradesh became the first state to have Glaw Lake recognised as its inaugural Ramsar Site, making it India's 101st Ramsar Site. Located within the Kamlang Tiger Reserve and Wildlife Sanctuary in the Eastern Himalayas, Glaw Lake is a natural freshwater wetland known for its exceptional ecological value. The area supports more than 150 tree species and 49 orchid species, along with diverse flora and fauna. Andhra Pradesh became home to the newly inaugurated Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram. The Pacific island nation formerly known as Nauru has officially adopted the name Republic of Naoero to restore its traditional and indigenous identity. Andhra Pradesh signed four Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Australia to strengthen cooperation in clean energy, advanced manufacturing, workforce mobility, and inclusive education. One of the key agreements establishes a Centre of Excellence for Solar Manufacturing at IIT Tirupati in collaboration with the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and the Centre of Excellence for Energy Transition. International Clouded Leopard Day is observed annually on August 4 to raise awareness about the conservation of clouded leopards, one of Asia's rarest wild cats. Tamil Nadu recorded the highest number of deceased organ donors in India during 2025, with 266 deceased donors, according to the NOTTO Annual Report 2025–26. The state also ranked second in total organ transplants, behind Delhi, and has the country's largest transplant infrastructure with 172 transplant centres. Tamil Nadu performed the highest number of transplants involving kidneys, livers, hearts, lungs, pancreases, and small bowels. The state's advanced healthcare system and well-established organ donation network have made it a national leader in promoting organ donation, improving transplant outcomes, and supporting patients in need of life-saving organ transplants.
