India's first RRTS was launched in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh on October 21, 2023. The RRTS is a high-speed rail system that will connect major cities in the National Capital Region (NCR). The first phase of the RRTS will connect Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut.
