According to me 1000*8*0.15-1200 over sub base.
1000*8*0.10-800 for gravel. Total-2000 cum.
1000*8*0.10-800 for gravel. Total-2000 cum.

Total volume = L*B*D. So 1000*8*(25/100) = 2000 cum.

The road is 1000m long = 1000m.
The width is 8m = 8m.
The thickness of slab = 0.15m.
Excavation for sub base (10cm thick - 6.25cm compaction) = 3.75cm for gravel.
So,
1000m x 8m x (0.15m + .0375m).
1000m x 8m x 0.1875m = 1500 cubic m.
The width is 8m = 8m.
The thickness of slab = 0.15m.
Excavation for sub base (10cm thick - 6.25cm compaction) = 3.75cm for gravel.
So,
1000m x 8m x (0.15m + .0375m).
1000m x 8m x 0.1875m = 1500 cubic m.
