Moist sand h = 15cm.
Saturated of sand h1 = 12.

Formula is h-h1/hi*100.

= 15-12/15*100.

= 25%.

Formula = ((h-h1)/h1)*100.
= 25%.

15-12/15*100 shall comes 20 %, so the option should be D.

Formula = {(h-h1)/h1)}*100, h = 15, h1 = 12.

= {(15-12)/12}*100,
= (3/12)*100,
= 0.25*100,
= 25%.

Here, 15 - 12/12*100 = 25%.

What's this formula for this?

Formula isn't required.

It's % bulking of sand = what percentage of inundated sand, the bulking happened.

Therefore, = (bulked mass / inundated mass)*100.

= (15-12)*100/12.

= 25%.
