I want to explain with an example.

I will win means it's confidence.

Only I will win means it's overconfidence.

And also we can say that if you say confidently, you have some knowledge about that. But you have known nothing but you are saying confidence means we can say it as overconfidence.

If I tell you, I've preformed well in the interview and you may select me for the job. It's confidence. And.

If I tell you that I've performed better than anyone else and no matter if you select me or not I'm smart enough to get a job at any other place, I think that would be overconfidence.

Confidence:-
Confidence is a good trait to have where a person is sure about his course of action or activity and it Comes From Past Sucess and right decision.

Over Confidence:-
Over Confidence is excessive belief in their own abilities Ignoring the fact that their decision can be wrong too.

Confidence tells our positive attitude and overconfidence tells that over attitude. Confidence in oneself is required to achieve something but overconfidence makes oneself into a different way of approach. Confidence is good for everything but with overconfidence, one can not reach heights.

Here is an only small difference, if I say am suitable for this job it's my confidence but if I say am the only one suitable for this job it's my over-confidence.

That means, confidence is good understanding about our strength and over-confidence is like one underestimating other people.

Confidence is the state of mind where one thinks that he can accomplish a task and he actually has the skills and abilities required to do so. Over-confidence is the state of mind where one thinks that he can accomplish a task but he actually does not have skills and abilities to do so.

The difference is only in the belief of a person, both come from hard work but being overconfident towards something needs more passion towards it than a person can think of. It's not bad you know being overconfident, it only depends on individual perception of things as I said earlier.

Firstly, I would like to thanks for asking this question.

Confidence is nothing but what we have belief and I can do purpose of only for self not for others.

Overconfidence means doubting themselves only without knowing thir strengths & weakness they only think I will do like that.
