There was a difference between confidence and overconfidence.

If there was a particular task, we believe that I can complete that task whereas overconfidence means I am the only one who could complete that task.

Confidence leads to success whereas overconfidence leads to unemployment or negative feedback.

Confidence :-.

Shows your skills, positive attitude, knowledge and much more.

Then we are talking about overconfidence :

Always shows your weak points like your fake attitude, your surplus energy, your fake personality, and many more.

So, these are common differences in confidence and overconfidence.

Confidence is that when we feel sure about our actions without fear because fear can destroy our dreams.

On the other hand, Overconfidence is an excessive amount of belief in our abilities which may lead to the wrong decision.

According to me, Confidence can build you but Overconfidence can destroy you.

Saying you can do something exactly knowing your strength and weakness is confidence.

Saying you can complete the task without thinking about your capabilities or putting any effort to do it. It may be an easy task but being over confident will lead to a closed mind to think difficulties you might face.

I will explain this answer by example :

If I am facing any interview then interviewer ask me that why should I hire you. The I replied the answer with.

Confidence: Sir, I am fit for this job because I have more knowledge about your company.

Over confidence: Sir, I am only one who fit for this job.

Sir according to me, if a person has skills, knowledge talent and he/she is assuring for the completion work that means the person is confident enough but if he/she doesn't have that many skills and knowledge which is to be required and is assuring for the completion of task then it's overconfident.

Confidence is a belief and the courage that it is possible, but with full knowledge and awareness of challenges/obstacles and errors that might make the road to success not very smooth.

Overconfidence is selfish thought that with me every road is smooth, anyone else can't go through in my absence.

Confidence is ruled by knowledge experience and interest in the work with having the scope of learning and experiencing something new. Wheras overconfidence is ruled by the thoughts of having all the knowledge and experience, and negligence about the work with having no scope of learning anything.

According to me, confidence is the ability to believe in one self and taking a bold step along with risk factors but over confidence is an act of over or surplus believing in once self for carrying highly risky things on one head without realizing the back ground and ones ability to deal with it.
