I don't agree with the statement that Hindi should be official language because about 60% of the people don't know Hindi and do not speak Hindi. There are many other languages in India like Punjabi, English, Maharathi, Kashmiri and etc. In India, people firstly use to speak Sanskrit. So I think Hindi should not be the official language in India.

Hindi should be an official language of India yes, everyone can communicate through only one language by default and it helps to proud to talk in Hindi, in the country we have many languages if someone went to from one state to Oder state de can communicate easily, if we made Hindi as an official language.

Yes, Hindi should be an official language. Hindi language is widely spoken language. About 60-65% of the people in India spoke this language. People from all over India knows this language. If you take an address which is not known to you and went to other parts of the country. Maybe you don't know their native language but if you know Hindi then you definitely get some help. That is the power of Hindi.

It will be very dangerous to declare Hindi as the national language. When we go back to after independence era most of the states in India wanted a separate identity and state independent of any central control mostly on language basis. In India, everyone is fine with English as it international language but a very few people can stand the idea of Hindi as National language. Unity in diversity is just a good phrase to shed good light on our country. But inside you know how united everyone in this country is. The adverse effects of this measure are too much compared to benefits like there will be extreme violence against Hindi-speaking people in non-Hindi speaking states. It is a very dangerous thought which should never come to our minds.

Hi, everyone.

Hindi must be the official language of our nation, many countries like France & China have French & Chinese as their language then why not us & one more thing around 85-90 percent Indians are comfortable with Hindi except very few states everyone can understand & speak well Hindi. That's why I think Hindi is the only language which can easily connect all the Indians & on the other hand, English should also be used in few states in the south.

Hello, friends, I think Hindi should not be official language because if it will happen then it will going to be very hard for our country to make our economical relation with other countries as their language is a concern. If guise you will be ask me example then better example is campus placement. Because HR of the company may belong to other states then he will going for English language only n also to communicate with other countries people we should good in English.

Yes, Hindi should be the official language of India. Did anyone of you heard about "Devanagiri Lipi", in which what we speak it is written in the same way whereas in other languages it not in that way. What we speak is different from what we write. And it is the Language which can be easily written and easy to understand and speak and this is the reason why our government made it as an official Language of India. And most of the words are same as Sanskrit which is understandable by everyone. So just raising issue on this topic leads to national problem where every state has to fight.

The government should take further more steps for easy learning and be reading Hindi Language like making it compulsory as the first language in school, interlevel.

Thank you.

Think, doesn't It sound very odd when an Indian need a translator to communicate with another Indian. We always say unity in diversity, but does it really work?

We all know how many problems is faced due to the language barrier. And if it continues in future then the day would no far when all states will divide themselves on the basis of their language.

If anyone directly says that XYZ (either Hindi or for other) should be the official language then it may cause a civil war. But we all now that we need a common language, so for this we must choose that language which has a majority. And people who are not comfortable with that language should provide facilities to learn it by making it a permanent subject in academic studies.

Thank you.

Hi, Myself Krishna Verma. And my point of view is that if Hindi will be official language then it will be somewhat beneficial for people who face difficulties to convey their ideas, view of perception due to lack of communication skills. But when we look for overall development & for the long term, the English language provides better chances in vast level. People can explore themselves in vast level and communicate with anyone regardless of any foundation.

Hindi should be the official language of India because in India, most people are not able to speak everyone near by 70 to 80 per cent people of India unable to speak English and Hindi is easier to speak in the comparison of English. Hindi is our mother tongue also and uneducated people easily speak hindi so, Hindi should be the official language of India.
