Yes, from my point of view, Hindi should be an official language of India as India has the majority of Hindu people and I think if Hindi be the official language the condition of our country would have resulted in better form.

Hello everyone!
According to me, it will be good that our country will have a common language in the future because some countries like the US have a common language. If someone speaks in Hindi the north side people only understand and in Malayalam the Kerala people only understand. So common language for our country will be to understand the speeches of the PM like other high officials. This is my opinion if there is any mistake forgive me. And the common language will be very easy to learn for rural people and also the language will be an Indian language.
Personally, I think that I would like to choose Hindi as a common language because very much people know Hindi.

Hindi cannot and should not be 'The' official language of India. Firstly, there are 22 other Indian languages which are equally Indian as Hindi. Secondly, other than a few North Indian states people have other native languages. Thirdly, Hindi is as non-native to me as English as I do not find common ground with it. My suggestion is to let English be the official language as it is neutral and a level playing field for all Indians. North Indians should make the effort to learn English snd stop being under the misconception that majority of Indians speak, understand or even like Hindi.

Hello everyone.
In my point of view, Hindi shouldn't be made as India's official language because if made it won't be a unifying factor for India. Our entire country is divided into different states based on languages if Hindi becomes official language the people speaking other language feel they're alienated hence there will unnecessary chaos in the country that's why our founding fathers of our country didn't made Hindi the official language. Hence to preserve our unity in diversity we shouldn't make Hindi as the official language of India.

Hi all,
In my opinion, Hindi should be the official language in India as we must have our own country official language. Every country has their own official language and because of that, they have fewer difficulties in coordination among their country people. Hindi is a well-known language all over India and also to its neighbor countries like Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh. Also if we go outside of India other countries always see us as a people of Hindi speaking language. They don't know anything about, other national languages of India. Also as we all are considered as Hindi in other countries irrespective of our different religions so why shouldn't we have Hindi as an official language? Some people think whoever speaks English is an intelligent person but the reality is that it's just a language which has been recognized as an international language to communicate with other continents people. So even a Hindi speaker can be much intelligent than a fluent speaker of English language. In India, Hindi will also be easily understood by other non Hindi speaker people of different states.

Hindi should not be the only official language of India. The official language status should be accorded to multiple languages. If it is not possible, then English should be the only official language. Education helps a child grow up and especially our higher education courses are very important. Most of our higher education courses are in English medium. Technically, English should be our default official language. If we consider the notion of identity, we must understand that Hindi is not the identity of person from non-Hindi states. Therefore, officially all languages should be nurtured equally by the GOI. The GOI should not indulge in micromanaging or manipulating language used in the everyday private chats.

Indian democracy is the union of states so while expressing this type of points one should know about the constitution and their respective laws laid down by it. INDIAN PEOPLE BELIEVE IN CULTURE AND CIVILISATION SO IT'S NOT POSSIBLE TO DERIVE ONLY ONE LANGUAGE. ACTUALLY, IF WE THINK PRACTICALLY WHY WE PEOPLE GETTING all systems of western type.
What's about culture people and their traditional thoughts why matters this interrupting ideas and expressions of people. The rural population is more than urban and. Who are illiterate what about them. Is there any government classes conducting for illiterate people to teach them English. If all people talk in English all people lives in cities then who live in villages Hill areas to maintain agriculture then who works in factories then who sales street marketing products. OFFICIALS DOESN'T NEED ANY KNOWLEDGE BECAUSE THEY ALREADY GETTING PROPER EDUCATION AND LIFE SO HINDI MUST OUR HOME LANGUAGE BECAUSE OF THIS TASTE AND HAPPINESS AND WAY OF EXPRESSIONS.

I don't agree with the statement that Hindi should be official language because about 60% of the people don't know Hindi and do not speak Hindi. There are many other languages in India like Punjabi, English, Maharathi, Kashmiri and etc. In India, people firstly use to speak Sanskrit. So I think Hindi should not be the official language in India.
