I agree with above line. Around 40-45 percent people in India speak Hindi it is highest percentage of people who speak Hindi. It is also rich in culture and heritage. If we really want to protect our culture then Hindi be made an official language. Every nation has its own official language. If we want to make our identification in world community then we should promote Hindi.

Yes, Hindi should be our official language. Though India has 22 languages, however Hindi is the most widely spoken among all. Hindi is the 5th most widely spoken language in the world. India was previously known as Hindustan, land of people who speak Hindi.

75% of the country resides in villages, where most of the people speak Hindi. So it is hard for them to accept English as their official language.

English is necessary to maintain Foreign relationships, but that could be done even if English is not our official language.

Yes, if we compare India to other countries so India have only where people officially they prefer English and locally they use Hindi language. Every country has their identical language but only India who doesn't have their identity to present their language i.e. Hindi. Notably, I absolutely agree with these that we should have Hindi as our official language in India.

Hello everybody, According to my point of view, Hindi should be the official language in India, because in most of the states in India people speak in Hindi language to express themselves. We know that in every country, the language in which most of the people speak is become their official language, like 'German' for Germany, 'Italiano' for Italy, 'Russ' for Russians etc. But India has no official language, here most of the people speak Hindi for local speaking. Although English is must be needed to keep relation with foreign countries but as most of the people here speak in Hindi, and most of them don't speak in English, so obviously Hindi should become the official language in India. - Thank you.

As we all know that language is a source to communicate the thoughts of a person to the other but in India, most of the people speak Hindi than another language in my point of view Hindi should be an official language English is also necessary for our because it is most widespread language of the world. As we speak more language our knowledge as well as our eagerness of communicating with people increase.

Thanks.

Hi I am Nishesh,

Personally, I feel, in country like India where we have more than 100 languages spoken countrywide, having an official language would not work as to some population if might segregate. Instead, we can have a corporate language (as we already have English), and a National Language (Hindi). This would not segregate people and would also unite corporate people. Declaring any language as official will not be a good idea in such a diverse country like India.

Hello everyone,

This is Vishal.

In my opinion "No" if it happened then definitely this topic will be changed into big issue for politics. And we well know the Indian Politics.

I told "NO" because of my personal experience when you enter the south region no one speaks Hindi they don't read or write because they prefer local (Telugu, Tamil, Kannada) language. Even the government of Tamilnadu has not added the Hindi subject in syllabus.

Then how to think the official page should be in Hindi. If it happened then the government of south will not agree.

Yeah, it may be but first of all, we know the importance of Hindi, Hindi is our National language & Gandhi Ji also said that "dusre bhasa ka bidyarthi hona/bolna bura nhi h, parantu apna basha sarwapari h".

So before going to set as an official language first of all the Indians peoples and government should be added the manadortry subject of Hindi in syllabus.

Thanks.

Hi.

According to me - it is an ongoing debate topic that Hindi should be official language or not.

As we know in India 22 languages are there and Hindi is widely spoken out of them, but many places in India don't know Hindi, like in Tamilnadu, Kerala. So if these people will get job in other regions then it will be tough to survive for them, like in MNC company English is spoken so we can have English as common language.

As we know English is widely practiced then Hindi in India and English is a medium of communication for our international relationships, and nowadays used in schools and offices so as in my opinion each Govt employe should have English communication skills.

As a conclusion, English should be a common language and we should focus on Hindi also as it was like an official language before our independence.

I believe that there are many who don't even know the correct usage of Hindi. In the south, people generally interact in their regional language. So if Hindi becomes our national language it would be difficult for those people.

And we should 1st think of saying Hindi correctly.
