Yes, Hindi should be an official language. Hindi language is widely spoken language. About 60-65% of the people in India spoke this language. People from all over India knows this language. If you take an address which is not known to you and went to other parts of the country. Maybe you don't know their native language but if you know Hindi then you definitely get some help. That is the power of Hindi.

I don't agree with it that Hindi should be made official language of India. India is a developing country. We have economic relations with other countries and for that, we require some common language in which we can interact clearly. As other country's people won't understand Hindi it will only increase our problems.

There are still many remote places in India in which people don't know how to speak Hindi they don't know how to write in Hindi. Thus the point of making Hindi as our official language is not justified. As we all know that English is a global language and people from any corner of the world understand English so one thing which I would like to suggest is that instead of declaring Hindi declare English as it's official language.

I think Hindi should be the official language of India. The Language of many people's are not exact. So some people's not exact communication. So create resistance in developing.

I do think that India should have Hindi as an official language because each and every develops countries have its own language and it is one of the reasons for a countries development. And it will help different state people's to communicate among themselves. Which is really troublesome in India. People from south have problem to communicate when they visit north side and vice-versa. On the other hand, people should also learn English for communicating to the world as English is used the world wide for better economical relation.

Hi,

Should Hindi be the official language in India, In my opinion, it's not. Because we are Indian and our mother tongue is Hindi It's the reason. Obviously not. We know that India is a country where 60-70% people are from rural area. But I want to remember you that in our country most of the IPS, IS and good rank holder people are from rural area. I know that other languages are not easy to learn English etc. But we are the Indians man we know our self very well, there is nothing impossible to us. We are the top 10 in world in economy, our businesses went to be globalized that is one of the best reason that we try to learn some other languages.

Hi friends,

According to me, Hindi should be an official language of India. Because in every country they have their own language as their official language like in France people speak in french, in Germany, german language is used, in Afghanistan afghani language is used to speak. So, in our country also everyone should speak Hindi and every Indian should feel proud while speaking Hindi. But somewhere I also say that everyone should know English also for communicating with ppl of other countries. But in our country, every Indian citizen should know and should speak Hindi.

And another thing most of us really like to learn a foreign language, but we don't generally prefer Hindi for speak. We should speak our Hindi language with proud and we should also try to make our language more popular in all over the world so that every people of the country should take interest to learn Hindi.

In my opinion, Hindi should be the official language because about 40 percent people speak Hindi and if Hindi is official language than it is for those people and our country's most of population live in rural area where they communicate in Hindi so it is easy for those.

No, 60% of the population don't know Hindi, how can it happens. Stop Hindi imposition, even central government is trying to do it, that's lame. I feel funny how some so called graduate feel 40% is more from 60%. Probably mathematical error. If north Indians can't learn South Indian languages, why we should learn Hindi. Stop Hindi imposition.

Hi guys,

I am Akash Nigam and I think we need common platform. We live in a democratic country and everybody had a right to choose to talk in which language, but in reality, this clause is really dividing people who live in India. Now the question is How? so everyone feel and express differently now suppose there 5 different group who speak different language and 5 group of people who express them self in the same way. So the survival rate second group of is high. So yes we need a common language no matter if it is Hindi or some other language.

I think Hindi should be our official language because in India there are 22 languages and no common languages that we speak and understand everyone.
