Yes, I think Hindi should be the official language in India because it can be a medium to communication by this.

Hi guys,
First of all, Hindi is not a National Language. Language is just a way to communicate our opinion. It does not depend upon the language, what we speak.
India is a country of Unity in Diversity. Why we select peacock is our national bird. It does not depend upon the count of the peacock was there in our country. It depends on the specialty of the peacock.
So we should not say that 65% of people speak Hindi, so Hindi should be a national language.

I think we should have 3 language format in our country. One mandatory regional language (state wise), Hindi as national language and English as international language. Making Hindi official language will create a political and regional raucous and can cause riots throughout the country. For a country as big and diverse as India where language changes every few KM declaring Hindi official language is inviting trouble.

First of all, what do we understand by the term official language? It can be referred as a common language which can be used in all the government sectors throughout the nation. Taking Hindi into consideration it can be used as official language considering majority of the people know Hindi. But the people who don't know cannot be ignored and in South Indian states, people don't use Hindi as the common language for communication.
There is no harm in keeping Hindi as the official language alongside English and a local language of the particular state. There can be one or more official languages implemented.

We can declare Hindi as an official language in India but it is not possible for 100% completion due to some unavoidable circumstances. Because we have to care about that states where majority persons are using their local language.
So we can allow also for local /English language also.
In my point of view-I am feel proud to speak in Hindi.

It will be very dangerous to declare Hindi as the national language. When we go back to after independence era most of the states in India wanted a separate identity and state independent of any central control mostly on language basis. In India, everyone is fine with English as it international language but a very few people can stand the idea of Hindi as National language. Unity in diversity is just a good phrase to shed good light on our country. But inside you know how united everyone in this country is. The adverse effects of this measure are too much compared to benefits like there will be extreme violence against Hindi-speaking people in non-Hindi speaking states. It is a very dangerous thought which should never come to our minds.

Hi All,
I am Ajit D. Kadam,
No, Hindi is not our official language, because in our country all the state has its own official language for Ex:
In Maharashtra, the official work is going to be on the Marathi language as Marathi is a Local language in Maharashtra. Similarly, other states have its own Local language that's why Hindi is not our official language in all over country.
Thank you.

Hi.
India is a colorful country because there are different types of folks and festivals so as languages. But Hindi is one the popular language among all because 70% of the people speak, understand and communicate in Hindi because they belong to rural areas. On the other hand, English is also very popular in India as well as in most of the countries so if we have to billed relations to other countries we have to learn English as well as other languages.
But if I conclude so I will say that as we are Indian so there must be any Indian language should be the national language.

According to me,
Hindi should not be official language of India.
Because almost 46% people speak in Hindi and other people speak own state language.
That's why Hindi should have not official language of India.

Yes, I agree Hindi should be the official language of India because many countries like Germany France are using their own language as official language. And India has yet no any official language then Hindi must be used as the official language and for people or state like Maharashtra South India where people don't konw and speak Hindi then in this situation there should be an option for implementation of English as second language.
