Hello everyone.

In my opinion, there should Hindi should not be an official language as India is a diversified country and there are people with different culture and different regional languages. If there will be a single official language than it can create some difficulties and all the people will not be comfortable. For example in south India people speak Tamil, Bengali, Kanad and they can find difficulties if Hindi will be the universal language.

But at the same time definitely, we should consider our Hindi language secondary to the English language as Hindi defines our nation OK nationality and we should be proud of it. English is just a language we should judge a person by his language. But nowadays especially in the metro city people perceive that those who speak English are well educated, have a high standard of living and they are very knowledgeable but this perception right as English is just a language.

So the conclusion is that there should not be any official language for our country but we should respect our Hindi language and we should be proud of it.

Hii Friends.

I'm Pranjal Prajapati.

Yes, I agree that Hindi should be official language because most of the people of India are comfortable with Hindi language and about South Indian people they can also speak Hindi most of them or people.

So I think Hindi should be Official Language.

Hindi is a language not for all Indians it is just medium for the express view, to talk And not all Indians comfortable with Hindi mainly south India peoples they have their language and its right to say that it's not necessary that all Indians want Hindi as the national language. So for everyone without creating any disputes don't need to make Hindi as N.L.

I don't agree with the statement that Hindi should be official language because about 60% of the people don't know Hindi and do not speak Hindi. There are many other languages in India like Punjabi, English, Maharathi, Kashmiri and etc. In India, people firstly use to speak Sanskrit. So I think Hindi should not be the official language in India.

According to my view, Hindi should be compulsory language in the Indian offices Because in India many people don't know English and many other languages, for example, a person of Haryana don't know south Indian languages and a people of South India. Don't know Punjabi Haryanvi, therefore, Hindi should be compulsory make official language o India.

I think the debate on this topic is enough now. There are few states people trying imposing Hindi on all they don't understand how other non-hindi will suffer from it, they are just behind their own convenience forgetting about others concerns. This is not the situation for which south Indian states had joined to form Indian union it's destroyed attack on their mother tongue n identity. If this tussle goes on then its better all Hindi favouring states should form their own Hindi country n leave apart non-Hindi states.

Hindi must not be the official language. How would you feel if your mother is dragged out and replaced by another? Hindi speaking people, on the other hand, must learn to respect India of her diversity and cultural heritage. People In this forum supporting Hindi need to have some gratitude, for south has provided shelter to millions and millions of north Indians. Is this a way to show your respect in return?

Think, doesn't It sound very odd when an Indian need a translator to communicate with another Indian. We always say unity in diversity, but does it really work?

We all know how many problems is faced due to the language barrier. And if it continues in future then the day would no far when all states will divide themselves on the basis of their language.

If anyone directly says that XYZ (either Hindi or for other) should be the official language then it may cause a civil war. But we all now that we need a common language, so for this we must choose that language which has a majority. And people who are not comfortable with that language should provide facilities to learn it by making it a permanent subject in academic studies.

Thank you.

If the language spoken by majority meant to be made NL, then for north India Hindi is similar to all north languages & for south India, Tamil is similar to all Dravidian languages, and for whole India English can be considered understood by the majority. In that case, efforts should be made to provide all Indians academics in English.
