Our Culture is Decaying

Our culture is decaying day by day because of western influences. We can see around us many things is changing the cause of westernization like people doesn't want to live in a joint family, children have forgotten playing kabaddi, kho-kho. Etc they only prefer video games, indoor games. Etc youth attracted western clothes like Jean's, coat, hoodies. Etc it seems that girls have forgotten to wear saree, suits. People feel the same wear traditional dress.

And I will say that thing we must preserve our culture otherwise one day we would lose our culture.

First of all, we need to draw a line between Westernization and modernization.

Innovation in technology, healthcare, arts, politics, economy is essential for a civilization's growth. West is innovating themselves while we are copying them and ignoring our own cultural development naturally our culture will decay over time. Pride in our laziness. I am not a fan of keeping all traditions we need to change according to time I only suggest being creative without forgetting our roots then again it's a personal choice we need to respect that. If a person wearing western clothes or Chinese or Indian clothes or any other clothes or any self-designed or even naked I won't mind as long as they try to restrict my freedom of choice western blind believers try to judge others, that attitude needs to be changed.

You know what our culture and tradition should decay fast. !, you know why because you guys should understand that we are living in Kali Yug, and the faster we lose our culture and traditions the more we follow Western culture, cause there is no other culture in this world that tells dharma and how to live life and at last spirituality (because this the ultimate and final stage every human being goes), people are becoming more foolish and thinking more scientifically, and question whether god is there or not (the question is a good thing), but the conclusion is not the way. It's so stupid that our ancestors experienced gods and stuff and yet question whether Ramayana and Mahabharata even existed (people are talking about this for thousands of years) and yet here we are just saying it never happened, it's the nation's history. To be honest, people should be lost hope in God and just believe that he's not real so that people can do more Adharma and anyway, perform adultery, wear revealing clothes, murder, rape, hurt someone with unsensible world's and speeches, more desires/pleasures, greediness, selfishness, lust, premarital sex, divorce remarriage again divorce remarriage, getting more blind and not thinking why casts are created, no respect to elders, no dignity and discipline (eg: hairstyles, way of clothing, way of talking to others), defying laws of nature, giving more importance to showoffs and fashions and digital slaves (the most useless things in the world), I'm 19yrs old and it hurts me to see India in position there the basic problems. But losing faith in dharma and God leads to more destruction and this Yuga ends fast so that a lot of people won't suffer but don't you people forget one thing everything you do and every choice you take has a bigger consequence to and people around you don't forget that. We need to take few things from the western for eg: cleanliness, strict rules, heavy fines and penalty and punishments nothing else. And one more do not ever make your parents feel sad or bad cause your going to suffer in future and will face painful consequences Jai Bharat.

I agree that the effect of western culture is harmful for us as it has changed our attitude towards our own country. Now a days we, especially youth is giving more importance to the foreign culture as they thought it is better than our culture. They thought all the Mantar in our holly books are very boring and old but reality is that these Mantar like guru Brahhma etc give power to our soul.

Today's world students don't give respect to the teachers, this all is the effect of westernization. Our culture teach us to obey elders and give them at most respect what they prefer. I agree that changes with is time is the law of nation but we should change in a good manner not that now a days criminal activities are increasing and it is also a change so we all soul also start doing that. Modernization is good but we getting completely devoted to foreign cultures.

Today's youth is forgetting the values of our own culture. With westernization we not only have changed our attitude but also our thinking, our dressing style and our food what we should eat. Earlier all the Kings who followed the Indian culture like Ashoka the great were very powerful.

So at last I just want to emphasize on that our culture is the best and it can adopt good changes time to time in it. We should not forget our cultural heritage and proud to be an Indian and being a part of Indian culture. Please don't let our culture decay and became a slave of any foreign culture.

I feel our culture is decaying many in present days, English words have originated from Sanskrit and Hindi, which should make us proud of speaking our national language. Speaking English for development of our country is definitely a great way to make a mark on the global scene, but China, France, and Germany are far ahead of us in all aspects yet they proudly converse in their own language. Children are forced to speak English by their elders for better jobs etc. If these countries can be developed by speaking their own language, why can't we?

No, I can't say that our culture is decaying completely. We can say that we are upgrading and developing. If we look in ancient time some culture should be stopped as Sati pratha, Johri pratha, Bal vivah etc. But I accept that we are attracting western culture because it seems like freedom, modern and advance that's why people are attracting there. But still, Some people have patriotism. They keep remain our culture and doing forward a future generation. Our culture is in some places.

So in my point of view that we are upgraded and developed. It is necessary for our culture.

Yes, our culture is decaying. In our earlier age if guests arrive in the house they wish them and treats them in a very proper manner but nowadays we can see that if the guest or their own parent arrives home they keep on playing in mobile or tab etc. This really shows that our culture is decaying.

Yes, our culture is decaying because western culture is invading our culture. We are only thinking about western jobs. But we are not thinking about the development of our culture.

I think our culture has decayed far beyond recognition - we talk about respect but its just talk. We don't respect women - we rape them, destroy their spirit and ambitions by getting them married at an early age and make them serve a man. We don't respect children - we manipulate them and destroy their childhood by faulty education system and unrealistic expectations. We don't respect our elders - we destroy their peaceful last years by our greed for the inheritance. We don't respect our country - because we destroy it in the name of caste, religion, progress (destroying the coveted nature). We don't respect our rivers - because in the name of culture and rituals we destroy its essence and purity. We don't respect our religion - because we manipulate the very nature of 'global religion' - we name other religions as the aggressors and try to twist our own beliefs. We are too many and are ruled by mob mentality. We will get what we deserve.

Obviously it is true that we had witnessed a lot of changes in our own culture in these days. Those changes have both positive and negative effects. There are diverse cultures which are changing from person to person, it depends on their lifestyle. In most of the times our character defines our culture. In my opinion there is no need for judging anyone's culture or personality, it is better to be diverse than being the same. So, our culture is not at all decaying, it's changing.
