A very warm good morning to all of you. According to me class room education gives you the basics to handle different situation which anyone can face. But live experience helps us to get a border prospective. It is also said that "failure is the stepping stone of success". It is automatic that when you face a situation in real n fail you will try to analyse it that why I didn't met with success? What was wrong? What suits the situation best and in what could have been done to get success. But it is not possible to get experience of everything in real and then solve the problem. So both are necessary as both of them add to your knowledge. Thanks.

Yes, I agree with the statement because experience will give you the direction in which if you apply your managerial skills, you will get the maximum output. And experience comes after starting a work. So, one started his work using his managerial skills taking some assumptions but you do not get the expected result but you came to know that certain assumptions which you consider are the reason of unexpected results. By experience, you also came to know about the situations where if your managerial skills went wrong, how to overcome those situations. So, we should start working taking help from experienced guys and develop our own experience.

I agree with the topic that managerial skills learned in the classroom can never match those from experience but it doesn't mean that skills taught in the classroom are less important.

Classroom learning provides theoretical knowledge about the foundation of management, but experience offers to apply those skills in real-world situations. And that experience allows managers to deal with different complexity and challenges that can not be taught in the classroom system.

By experience, managers learn from mistakes they had made, and they develop decision-making skills from the tough decisions they took, they learn interpersonal skills etc.

Classroom provides theoretical concepts, definitions which can be mugged up easily and comprehended. However, if he or she considers the managerial skills to be the one that can be learned then he or she may not deal with situations in real life because in a managing field there may be situations that are fresh, new and keeps on changing with time.

However in books there is a limited flexibility of knowledge limited to a particular scenario with no accurate probability that it may occur or not in future and if he/she only focuses on bookish knowledge neglecting real life problems then he she may not work or tackle diverse situations.

Yes, I agree with the fact that managerial skills learnt in class cannot match with those learnt from experience. The skills we learn in class give us a foundation and help us to think and apply those skills in real life. But the skills we learn from experience are of utmost importance and are not taught in any institutions, we get to know about it from experiences only. The skills learnt from experience include leadership quality, problem-solving skills and mindset to get the job done and the skills are used in every part of our life. So, both skill have their importance and we can neglect any skill as both are linked to each other.

Hello everyone,

As we all have learned from our school time that experience is the best teacher, the rule here apply quite perfectly. No one is born manager, is it like in a managers house there will born another one or in a family of doctors the child born is a doctor. No is the answer. Child learn from what they see from their childhood. Coming back to managerial skills no one can learn them, its the thing that comes from practice and live field experience. Managerial skills learned in schools are just theory part but the practical knowledge which lead us to a way to success come from experience.

Good evening to one and all, we know that 'EXPERIENCE IS THE BEST TEACHER'. In this fast growing technology we do see many successful people, all of them are not educated. It is only the way they grow for example the founder of dosa plaza merely do not possess any great educational background but he is a very successful businessman. He is not a management graduate his skills and zeal made him successful and with that experience alone he has been teaching several management graduates in a reputed institute.

I do say that it is only the person's zeal and hard work brings him success but not degrees.

A person can become successful not only through education. It is only the person's skill, hardwork and zeal to reach the zenith.

There is no need of studying the rules to play a game, it can be learnt by seeing others playing or playing himself one can learn which comes from experience. This is called practical experience.

One should know how to manage things practically which comes by experience.

So it is experience which make a person how to manage things practically. So managerial skills comes by experience and not when theoretically learnt.

So experience speaks for itself.

But experience is also important as the same because it will be tech you to tackle the different kind of situation happening in our world. Managerial skill you need experience and this experience will get you strong when you are class room training is to strong and managerial skill in college or school we have practical. Managerial skill lesion most important than theoretical thought.

Well, here we are comparing the managerial skills developed by learning in classroom and the other one gained by experience. Though theoretical background is essential but one could develop these skills only through experience by facing critical situations where one has to take correct decisions. One just cannot play the game just by knowing the rules but by implementing those rules while practicing. We also see various great businessmen who don't have MBA degree. They were not managers by birth but their experience makes them perfect in their managerial skills.
