Hello friends, for me, the managerial skills that we learn in the classroom is the theoretical part. When someone asks you about skills then here you can explain properly but if you have the practical knowledge then you can perform in a better way. If you have the experience then you can handle difficult to difficult situations.

That doesn't mean the managerial skills that we learn from classes have no value. All the top tycoons have MBA degrees from reputed universities. From these studies, we know how to behave professionally, how to manage groups and how to solve the personal issues of employees.

The thing that matters for a manager that how to manage the team. If the employees of the company are happy with the manager's work, that doesn't matter whether the manager has the knowledge of managerial skills or not.

Thank you.

Hello everyone, I'm here to speak about the given topic

I assume classroom learning is theoretical-based and has no practical exposure. So assuming that I can say yes I agree with this statement, practical application of knowledge especially for a manager is very important as quick thinking, problem-solving, ability to think out of the box etc are very important to deal with certain situation which arises in the real business world, one can't go by the books. Of course, as a new beginner one needs to have a basic understanding of scenarios one can face in the real business world hence in an MBA curriculum one is made to study not only theory but also given assignments to do with groups, simulations, scenario-based case studies etc to test one practical application of knowledge.

Hello everyone.

As we all know to become a successful leader and manager a person should possess some good and exceptional managerial skills. A managerial skill is something which helps in managing people efficiently and taking work from them effectively.

I think a person can learn good managerial skills through experience rather than sitting in class because in class we are just talking about those kinds of skills like the teacher just providing us with the knowledge of those skills in a theoretical manner but when it comes to experience in any company there we can learn this types of skills practically. Like in a company, we can learn how to motivate, manage and work from them but in the classroom, we can not due to a shortage of resources and expertise.

Hi everyone, I am here to point out my view on "managerial skills learnt in the classroom can never match those learnt from experience".

I would like to say for managerial skills you need experience and this experience will get strong when your classroom training is to be strong. But we can relate both on some level, because on my experience I can say worker has more experience or knowledge about a machine than an engineer as he has experience on that particular work and engineer can only relate it through his theoretical knowledge.

Now comes to managerial skills, I must it only and only develop when you apply classroom training again and again on your work then only you will get experience and develop managerial skills.

I agree with topic, Manager are born and not trained however I would like to reframe it as though managers are born however they need to take some training to polish some of the skills. Also training can lead them to right direction as well as help them to take desiction in carieer path.

Practical knowladge would help person to get rid of the instances as well as decesion making in future however classroom training enables them to aviod instances.

Practice make man perfect but grooming is also required to match the skill in todays compititive era.

In classroom we basically shares the situations faced during the our day to day work which can preferably used for referece hence classroom training is needed.

Friends I feel that the classrooms provide a base upon which a career can be built. We need classrooms and simultaneously we also need experience. Classrooms teach us basic skills and experience teaches us how to utilize those skills in the real world setting.

It is true that many successful people like Dhirubhai Ambani and LN Mittal did not receive formal education and still made it big but it is also true that the same people send their sons and daughters to best classrooms available.

Besides if you simply look at the percentage of people that become successful without receiving formal education, you will find it to be very low. That why I feel both are important in their respective capacities.

I think that there should be some base for everything, so classroom act as a base for our fundamental knowledge, if we will not be knowing about the fundamental rules then how could we implement the practical world? no doubt experience come from working but we coild only be succesful when we gave studies the fundamentles and with the education only we colud implement in the proper manner, practical ways are adopted after seeing the corporate scenario, if the person has not done any prac thing in classroom then he might face the prob in corporate world, therefore prac things are made understand in the classrooms so I conclude that the base for teh managerail skills is the education in the classroms.

According to me the managerial skills that we learn in classroom acts as a base when performing in the real world. Nobody can play a game without knowing the rules. Thus one's you know the basics (rules) , anybody can implement the skills at the workplace and make the best use of the managerial skills learnt. Classroom teachings helps to generate a fair idea about what can be done in a particular situation regardless of, the situations are not always the same. As far as the experience is concerned it might not be wrong saying that, the experience which we get from our workplace helps us to be successful only if we implement the managerial skills we have learnt in the classroom.

Hi Everyone, I feel it's very much true.

Managerial skills is developed better within the person when they have practical knowledge than theoretical knowledge. They should have experience with them to face all kind of situations. Theory don't work in handling businesses in the exact same way how it is taught, it is something which should be experienced by being a part of it. Some minute things which should be given a lot of attention are not even taught properly theoretically but can be noted and managed well in a practical situation.

So, when it is about managing things and situations it is practical knowledge and experience that speaks volumes than theoretical knowledge.

Challenging work can be done by improving our managerial skills and these skills are improved by getting practical knowledge. To fulfill the corporate work requirements we have to know how to handle emergency situation and work pressure. Classroom knowledge is also essential to show the way how to work/handle situations but practically we should go through that situation.

Also to be a good manager or team leader the person should have confidence with full of positive energy have faith in his team members, motivate them to do work effectively, and be with them as not only a boss but a guide who understands them & told them the requirements of corporate world.
