The paperless office is a reality. But it is not possible to apply in large parameters like Industries, Institution and Any govt bodies. Because many times documents is necessary only in paper. Like properties Documents and many other things. So I think paperless office initiative is good. It will help to curb pollution in Environment. But I think Govt should make completely apply paperless initiative and make Awareness program about those who are not much aware of this.

@ Nikky, please know the provision of law.

Legal recognition of electronic records.

Where any law provides that information or any other matter shall be in writing or in the typewritten or printed form, then, notwithstanding anything contained in such law, such requirement shall be deemed to have been satisfied if such information or matter is:

(a) Rendered or made available in an electronic form.
(b) Accessible so as to be usable for a subsequent reference.

Of-course its the reality, due to increasing technologies manpower becoming high, too lazy, they are searching for comfort. In most of the companies they are wasting paper like hell as our own we should adopt some rules and limits on usage of paper. Everything is man made either computer systems and paper. From today each individual should think about usage of paper less and up to some extent. They may be applicable or not applicable to some companies.

Paperless office is possible. Initially we will take some to adopt this new format. But, always a change brings a new revolution.

Now, we have time to take decision, we can save our earth.

If we dnt, then ultimately we have to face it's consequences & that time we will have to comply some more restriction even worse than this system.

We should welcome the new changes for our future generation and for the world to survive.

Thank you.

Hello Everyone.

In my point of view, paperless documentation is always not acceptable, why because so many fake documents can be created by computers but not by humans, fake documents may mislead society in a corrupted way. If it is paperless illiterate people can't find a way to clear the problem, they need to depend on some other. We can file important documents on a computer instead of making it completely paperless.

We can't imagine a office without paper. Yes we can reduce the papers by the use of computers by keeping soft copies of some documents and records but still there is importance of hard copies instead of soft copies in some areas where Approved Authority and Issued Authority signature is must required. So in this discussion forum we can say paper work in office can be reduced bot can't be fully avoided.

Hello! everyone,

I agree with a paperless office is possible. Though it saves more trees, It will give rise to more technologies. If technologies are grown then more hardware should be made to make the paperless office in all over the world. Then it will cause one problem E-waste. It will not be destroyed. So we have to use papers in office but we can reduce it usage to save the number of trees.

Indeed, paperless office is a reality. Decades ago, who had thought computer would be so advanced that even a child knows about its whereabouts. The complicated machines we encounter today in our lives, would not had even thought about by our forefathers.

People will face difficulties, get exacerbated upon new paperless tradition, but gradually they will accept likewise other technologies.

Indian railways says you can show your ticket in mobile a big example of the e-world we are moving into. The answer to the question asked is yes. For someone who has been working in the IT world for the past two years I can say that this dream has been realized from digital signatures, to online appraisals yes we are moving closer to this reality.

Hi, friends.

From the ancient time we are using papers to convey our message. I think that without paper we cannot establish a legal office. There are many things which are not having any mean without a hard copy all the cannot be stored in the software. Without paper, people will face difficulties. And a most important thing is this that a hard copy is much legal than a soft copy.
