Hello all,
I would like to put my thoughts here by stating that we are not 100% ready to go all-electric. Various reasons are that people really enjoy driving petrol and diesel engines because it is affordable and also much easier to maintain. If India has to go all-electric there should be more awareness of how E vehicles could be a value add to the environment as well. Now let us talk about the pricing of electric vehicles they are priced much higher than a normal petrol/ diesel engine. The cost of the battery is 40 to 50% of the vehicle cost which makes it even more expensive to maintain it.
We should work on infrastructure, Supply chain on how to manufacture and sell it at affordable prices, ease of use, and convenience of battery charging plants last. we are in the beginning of an era of EVs but this will take much longer than we can ever imagine.

Hi friends! Coming to the topic, India is ready for electric vehicles we can say yes! Because of today competitive world most of the people moving from one place to another place for their need of survival, so they choose different types vehicals to move. Whether they may have their own vehicles or public transportation. Almost all vehicles are run with oil like petrol, diesel. Etc. Due to the usage of oil is increasing there is a drastic change in the climate. Due to this the ozone layer is deplezing. By using electric vehicles we can control the pollution.
Of course, some of the problems due to battery arises but we can make sure to avoid the problems by taking some measures. Some of the researchers going on that and it can be implemented.
In my view, we are responsible for the environment and we have to save from the pollution.
Thank you.

Hello, all of you.
My name is Ratan Lal Gadhwal.
First of all, I would like to pay attention to the topic of Electric vehicles in India.
To think about EVs is good for India.
India is the second-largest population country in the world so they need of vehicles is very high.
There is a very huge problem to pollution in India so EVs are helping us to reduce air pollution, noise pollution around our environment.
In June 2019 the gov. Of India announced that only EVs will be sold in India from the year 2030.
By using EVs, we can reduce the dependence on other countries for oil import.
But electric vehicle's Price is very high. It is not affordable for many people in India.
And also required a number of charging stations in the near future. So it a big problem for India to build them within some time.
Thanks to all of you.

India will be ready for electric vehicles or not depends on many factors:
IF WE LOOK FOR AN ECOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE WE NEED ELECTRIC VEHICLES.
So, it helps to reduce pollution emissions and at the global and political level, it helps reduce the dependence of fuel on other nations.
But I want to add one more thing to popularize electric vehicles among Indians we have to strengthen ourselves in electric power stations.
And we should do more research on how we improvised the electric battery so it covers more destinations with less battery usage.
And electric companies also work on the security and safety of an electric vehicle because it works as a hindrance after all people are disturbed when they hear the news that an electric vehicle got a fire.
So, if we work on this, India will be ready for an electric vehicle.

Hi, My name is Ritika Agrawal.
The topic given to us for the discussion is "IS INDIA READY FOR EVs".
In my viewpoint, it is a topic of current relevance and It's a big yes that India is ready for electric vehicles.
EV cars include lower running costs, environmental benefits, and reduced dependence on foreign oil.
Some insurance companies offer special EV car insurance policies that provide coverage for battery damage. It also offers add-on covers such as personal accident cover and third-party liability cover.
The government of India has also introduced the income tax section 80EEB to provide tax incentives to electric car buyers. Electric car buyers are entitled to tax exemptions up to 1.5 lakhs on the loan amount.
Our India being an emerging country is adopting an EV car as a primary source of transportation.

Hi everyone.
Myself aryan Madhur the topic is whether India is ready to adopt EVs or not so in my opinion first understand why this EV topic has been discussed so much among people and is a hot topic of discussion because as the climate is changing, and with an increase in the atmospheric pollution ie air pollution due to the burning of fossil fuels it has become important to reduce our dependability on fossil fuels also it is a limited resource so here ev gives a good alternative to reduce the pollution by transportation and automobiles emissions and dependency on fossil fuels to a greater extent, according to one report in us more than 30% air pollution is due to the automobile emissions. In India, it is an emerging technology and gaining a good appreciation among the people. But it has both pros and cons.

Yes, according to me, India is ready for electric vehicles. As electric vehicles are expensive. But they have a very low maintenance cost and they don't want any type of conventional fuels (diesel or petrol). And electricity is a very clean source of energy and if one wants he can put a solar cell on his rooftop and then it will be a one-time investment and he can save a lot of money. But there is a flow with electric vehicles that their performance is very low and we do not have any fuel station like the conventional fuel station. So if the govt of India can do something can do anything on this problem then there is a very bright future of electric vehicles in India. And as the use of electric vehicles can lead to decrease the pollution and will fairly reduce the cost of transportation for the common men.

Good morning everyone!
I am S. Vaishnavi hailing from Hyderabad.
As a developing nation i.e. India needs reform to develop and be competitive country to other countries, in my words, India is not ready for Electric vehicles. If the government is trying to introduce Electric vehicles in India it must be noted that in our country majority of people do not have much knowledge of electric vehicles, lack of electricity charging banks, lack of electricity workshops, and electric vehicles are a bit expensive which below poverty line people cannot afford it. When we speak about rural areas we can see regular power cuts and poor road conditions which doesn't support electric vehicle drive. So, I conclude India needs a decade to clear all the problems and to invite electric vehicles onto the roads.
Thank you.

In my perspective, I really think India could succeed in bringing electric vehicles onto Indian roads, the electric vehicles are the best compared to combustion vehicles and the EV vehicles will not pollute the environment. The main issue here is the sale of combustion vehicles is not at all reducing when the mindset of the people changes only they will buy the EV vehicles until then they will not buy them. I want to mention another point is that the government should tie up with big MNCs and launch EV vehicles in affordable prices and everyone should aware of this also there should be more charging stations.
Points to be noted:
1. Electric vehicles are affordable.
2. More charging stations.
3. And due to the increase in the usage of EV vehicles the generation of electricity should be increased.
