Undoubtedly, India needs an electric vehicle. Today's scenario in Delhi is the best example. Onside India is Trying to recover from 2nd wave of COVID. The other side is air pollution in Delhi. Due to carbon emission in fossil fuels, the area is polluted leads to a lot of acute and chronic diseases. So the central govt made a special rule to undergo lockdown for 20 days. This made people mentally I'll. The other side compulsory use of green vehicles in Delhi to reduce pollution. Yes, India is needed for e-vehicle. Already, Two-wheelers and rickshaws are started manufactured. The reduction of carbon emission by the use of vehicles can be one best solution. Also, the cost of vehicles can be minimized so that middle-class people can afford it. There is noise generation. It can run smoothly. We conclude that e-vehicle is needed for the next coming young generation to prevent the resources from pollution and green earning.

To know whether India is ready for EVs or not, people should first understand what EVs are. Unlike conventional petrol or diesel vehicles, EVs use one or more electric motors for propulsion. EVs have a battery that is charged through an electricity supply.

EVs are not only "Environmentally friendly" but also "Cost-Effective" as the Government of India incentivizing the use of EVs by providing subsidies and lower motor taxes on EVs.

However, we also cannot ignore that electric charging stations are not available everywhere in India except for some metropolitan cities like Delhi, Mumbai, etc. For this reason, they are not suitable for long-distance travel.

Conclusion:
EVs in India are still in the developing stage, and the government, as well as the original equipment manufacturers (automotive industry) , are promoting them to create an eco-friendly environment and cost-effective journeys for passengers.

Hello Everyone.

India has a great future in the field of Electric vehicles but I don't think we are completely ready now. Recently India discovered 5.9 million tonnes of lithium in Jammu and Kashmir but having lithium and using lithium both are different things. We need a proper infrastructure for making lithium batteries but we have only one infrastructure that is yet to be completed we also need infrastructure for recycling lithium-ion batteries, and skilled labour for making these batteries. In spite of having less lithium compared to some other countries, China is not one in order to produce lithium-ion batteries, so the question is, how could China achieve this? The simple answer is because of the infrastructure and skilled labour China has.

If we want to become ready for EVs we have to work on infrastructure and have to develop expertise in order to produce lithium-ion battery in India.

Good morning everyone;.

I think that India wants pollution free country this will happen only when we reduce the consumption of cured oils like petrol, diesel, etc.

Some fossil fuels which impact our nation with soil pollution, air pollution, water pollution. Due to this they are so many disease was impact our upcoming generation especially toddlers. So when we use electric vehicles we see India has a pollution free country. On other hand, the cost EC vehicles is expensive compared the fossil vehicles but we importunate the EC vehicles fro other country instead of this the EC vehicles was made of lithium so in India the lithium metal is found that in jammu&kashmir state so in India the car company like Tesla, Tata was trying to reduce the cost of the EC vehicles so that everyone should buy a EC vehicles at their affordable range.

Hope that we see India with electric vehicles.

Good afternoon all, I think this is very interesting and crucial topic of today's time.

So, I would like my thought in this regard in the best possible way.

In my point of view, yes it is very necessary to accept electric vehicles and India is also ready for accepting it. As we know, day by day pollution and climate change is increasing which constantly putting threats to our upcoming generation and us as well.

So, it is a good practice to foster electric vehicles and the government is very actively participating in it by launching many schemes like providing subsidies for EV users and many other things. Also, one more benefit is adding in India's favour that there is some location found in India where large lithium reserves have been found. But, currently, there are some challenges that need to deal with like, a very less number of charging stations are there.

Thank you.

Greetings to Everyone,

With reference to the topic that is "Is India ready for Electric Vehicles ".

From my point of view, I think now India is not ready for Electric Vehicles because we don't have the infrastructure of EV's which is needed, like EV charging stations. Also we need to change the Mindset of the peoples who is preferring more, Conventional vehicle rather than electric Vehicles.

My suggestion is government should give subsidies in Electric Vehicle which can encourage the peoples to buy the EV's.

Also, I think government should lower the export tax on EV's let's take an example.

About 18% of export tax are applied on Tesla car of worth Rs. 50 - 70 lakh which is not affordable at all.

Also, I think government should more focus on "Electric vehicles Manufacturing Sector" more by doing this their will no export tax and the vehicle can be affordable for the user.

According to my opinion, India is not ready to use EV vehicles.

Nowadays manufacturing of modern vehicles is increasing day by day. People want to know about its output features, brand, and cost to purchase the vehicle. They are not trying to think about the pollution. Even though EV vehicles save money and pollution people prefer Modern vehicles to EV vehicles because of their functionality and usage.

For example, in my family; my father is using an EV vehicle and my brother is using a modern vehicle. They know the pros and cons of their vehicles. Because of using EV vehicles one day our next generation will definitely suffer from electricity facilities and also because of using Modern vehicles within a few years we are going to face a polluted world. They never consider these types of Pros and Cons.

So in my opinion, India is not ready to use EV vehicles.

Hello all,

I would like to put my thoughts here by stating that we are not 100% ready to go all-electric. Various reasons are that people really enjoy driving petrol and diesel engines because it is affordable and also much easier to maintain. If India has to go all-electric there should be more awareness of how E vehicles could be a value add to the environment as well. Now, let us talk about the pricing of electric vehicles they are priced much higher than a normal petrol/ diesel engine. The cost of the battery is 40 to 50% of the vehicle cost which makes it even more expensive to maintain it.

We should work on infrastructure, Supply chain on how to manufacture and sell it at affordable prices, ease of use, and convenience of battery charging plants last. We are in the beginning of an era of EVs but this will take much longer than we can ever imagine.

Hi friends! Coming to the topic, India is ready for electric vehicles we can say yes! Because of today competitive world most of the people moving from one place to another place for their need of survival, so they choose different types vehicals to move. Whether they may have their own vehicles or public transportation. Almost all vehicles are run with oil like petrol, diesel. Etc. Due to the usage of oil is increasing there is a drastic change in the climate. Due to this the ozone layer is deplezing. By using electric vehicles we can control the pollution.

Of course, some of the problems due to battery arises but we can make sure to avoid the problems by taking some measures. Some of the researchers going on that and it can be implemented.

In my view, we are responsible for the environment and we have to save from the pollution.

Thank you.
