Social media has both positive and negative sides. Some people use it to learn new skills answer upgrade themselves in each domain respectively from scratch to top.

Domain can be anything either technical work or entertainment, cooking anything. Whereas people also use it simply for entertaining themselves, to scam others in terms of business and money and also cyber bullying. Some even become addicted to social media sites extensively.

Social media has a very bad impact on a student The distraction in social media videos and other features so as not to connect social media in college student life that very useful and bad in student life especially in the use of social media.

According to me, social media is good as well as bad. Advantages of social media:- With the help of social media we can easily find information about anything. We can easily find our study material. Through social media, we can easily chat with anyone. Some social media apps are WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, etc. We can easily find the perfect life partners after talking to an astrologer. Food, Grocery, Medicines get delivered on time. Disadvantages of social media:- A large use of online apps for ordering food, clothes, and medicines is useful for those people who go outside for work and harmful for those people who don't want to do any work. Excessive use of social media has made people lazy in today's time. In today's time, people don't want to do any work, they need everything at home.

As of now, social media has pros and cons. Some people utilize social media as a source of knowledge without distracting themself from all other stuff. And also one can gain knowledge about current affairs. Whereas it has negative impacts like false news and scams through social media by getting bank details and so on.

Social media is the best platform for our youth, We all are stuck with watching reels, posts and many more activities which distract us from our upcoming future. We should be aware of these all things and focus on our careers. We can gain more knowledge from these platforms and can earn money from various applications of social media such as digital marketing, e-mail marketing, advertisement etc.

I will talk about the pros first, social networking sites played a crucial role during the COVID-19 pandemic, for quick information sharing like information about virus, safety protocols and announcements by the government, facebook, and Instagram helped people with emotional and mental support by social connections, these networks were used as a tool for online education also. Not only in a pandemic, in general, many people do not have easy access of eduction they have YouTube and other online platforms for learning, but women who are not allowed to work outside can also do work from home, and people who have different skills and want to explore new skills, are getting a better opportunity through social media. There are regions, facing natural disasters we can rise fund for them also, for cancer patients we can rise fund. NGOs and the government are using social media for awareness campaigns. Now I will like to draw the attention towards the negative aspects of the social media, for mainly students it is becoming a site of distraction by different kind of stuff and secondly everyday we hear news about online scam about money, information and other things. There is always a fear of misinformation, that causes major problems in daily life. By and large, we can work on the negative things of social media and equip it with more new technologies.
