Impact of Social Networking Sites

I would say social networking works both ways for us and it's upon the Ultimate user of it how we want to use it.

If we see the impact which this creates is we can connect with people far from us, knowledge is easily accessible to us, real-time update of events happening around the globe, for some who use it wisely has made it a source for their income through their various skill sets. These are a few to be mentioned from a lot of many more.

Now if we examine the impact it creates negatively is that it leads to more screen time for users which leads to eyesight issues, cyberbullying and harassment has increased considerable, privacy becomes a major concern as we are so comfortable in sharing in everything on social media that we forget that privacy is also something to be maintained and on the internet nothing comes with safety or a 100% assured of being safe, again these are dew drawbacks mentioned from a lot of many more.

So in the end social media is something created by humans and it lies in their hands only how to use it, make it useful or possibly make it the most toxic place to live in.

As per my opinion, everyone is using social networking nowadays. It's become routine/habit in our day-to-day life. Everything has two types generally i.e.positive side and negative side just like by using social networking sites we get benefits and some demerits too.

On the positive side, we can easily get valuable information related to our problems.

On the Negative side, by extra usage of social networking sites, we can get instant results. And also some health issues like heart disease i.e., by Mobile uv rays we get some health issues.

Social Networking- As the name clarifies itself, to connect with society, not in a physical way, but in a digital way. Ever since social platforms were created, it has really created another level of excitement among millions in every field whether it is education, entertainment, sports, or whatever. These platforms have now become a different medium of learning, getting entertained, etc.

But as we all know that every coin has its two sides and everything in this world has its pros & cons that define its origin. We "Humans" also even have pros & cons. If we have good in ourselves then we also have bad at the same time and that defines us.

These social platforms can either make someone popular overnight or it can destroy them forever.

Let's brief the topic, for the next 10 to 20 minutes we should convey our thoughts, which may be advantages or disadvantages of the same.

I'll begin with a discussion, in my perspective.

Initially let's consider some advantages of social media, So if any incident happens in society, that incident gets scattered in seconds around the world, and everyone becomes aware of it, it's a positive side of social media, but the other part is, if any incident happen, some individual who don't have proper understanding of the incident, they start sharing the thing the way they understand, due to this many Miss conceptions are gather together in the society, as a result of which wrong messages are got shared.

Now let's take one more drawback of social media, everyone knows how to use social media to travel on social media, and we don't need to do any physical activities, which in turn results in major physical issues.

The advantages and disadvantages of social networking completely depend on the way we use it, if we use it to improve our knowledge it is very useful but if we misuse this platforms we get punished and there is no use.

I think that anything we are using has its own positive and negative impacts on our day-to-day life. This same goes for online social media platforms They have multiple benefits:

- We can use it to communicate with our friends.
- We will remain updated with all happenings in our surroundings.
- We can interact with professionals through various social media platforms for example LinkedIn.
- Even people who are not good at socializing can share their views through social media platforms.
- We can use them as a medium to gain knowledge .
But it has a negative side too;
- Sometimes reciprocating our emotions through social media is not possible because emotions can't be expressed with emojis(which are used widely these days).
- Socializing in person has been reduced due to social media.
- It has become a major distraction for youths and younger generations.
- It has become a major platform for spreading false news and information rapidly.

Instead of using the positive side of social media, we are going towards the bad path. Some cons like:

1) addiction, which is a major cause of social networking some causes like insomnia, depression, depression, high level of anxiety, lack of concentration, etc.

2) have you ever notice we are indulging in social media that if we want to find any meaning instead of the dictionary we use Google app.

3) it increases criminal activities.

4) some youngsters have lost their connection and relationship with their family members and relatives.
