Good Evening.

In my point of view, the Social networking has both Positive and Negative impacts.

Nowadays, use of social media is increasing very rapidly. Everything is available online many people are making money online. The Usage of social media is depends upon us, how we use it and how much time we waste on social media.

Nowadays, our education system is totally online our societies also prompt their children to learn new knowledge. But on the other side same they are wasting their time by using social media.

Thanks.

I believe social networking sites have transformed the way we connect, learn and grow; they have built the distance between friends, family and professionals across the globe. These platforms provide great opportunities for knowledge sharing and gaining, skill development and getting interactive in many new communities, special in varied purposes. They also play a role in career growth through webinars, tutorials and networking communities. However, we cannot ignore the downsides like addiction, misinformation and other health issues caused by overuse. In my opinion, the real impact of social networking sites depends on how mindfully we use them; if we set certain boundaries, they can be a powerful source for positive changes in our personal and professional growth.

Social networking sites have greatly improved global communication, allowing people to connect instantly, share ideas, and access information from anywhere. They provide platforms for education, business promotion, and social awareness, helping individuals and organisations reach wider audiences. However, they also have drawbacks, including addiction, reduced productivity, cyberbullying, misinformation, and privacy risks.

While they can foster learning and relationships, overuse or misuse can harm mental health and weaken real-life social interactions, making balanced and responsible use essential.

Good morning, everyone.

Today, I’d like to talk about a topic that affects all of us social networking sites. From Facebook and Instagram to LinkedIn and Twitter, these platforms have become a part of our daily lives.

Let’s first look at how these platforms benefit us.

Social media has revolutionised the way we connect and communicate. Whether it's staying in touch with family or collaborating with people across the world, these platforms make it instant and easy. They also offer great spaces for learning, career networking, and business promotion. Many people use them to raise awareness about important social issues giving a platform to voices that may not be heard otherwise.

But while social media brings convenience and opportunity, it also brings some serious challenges.

One of the biggest concerns is excessive use. Many people lose valuable time scrolling aimlessly, and that can lead to a drop in productivity. There's also the issue of mental health; constant comparison with others can lead to anxiety, low self-esteem, and even depression. We can’t ignore the rise in cyberbullying, the spread of misinformation, and the threat to our privacy.

Now the question is — how can we manage these downsides?

A good start is by being intentional with how we use social media. Set time limits, take digital breaks, and avoid using it out of boredom. Before sharing anything, take a moment to verify the information. Adjust your privacy settings to control who sees your content and personal data. And if you ever face or witness online harassment, don’t hesitate to report or block.

To stay mentally healthy, engage in offline activities like reading, exercising, or spending time with loved ones. Fill your feed with content that inspires or educates, and unfollow anything that brings negativity.

To wrap up, social media isn’t the enemy. It’s a powerful tool, but like any tool, its impact depends on how we use it. Let’s choose to use it wisely, with purpose, and in a way that improves our lives rather than controls them.

Thank you.

Hello Everyone.

A coin has a head and tail as two sides, like every situation will have both positive and negative sides.

The person has to know which side he wants to choose means choosing the positive side helps to succeed in life or to reach their goal or choosing the negative side is like carrying regret for the future, like not knowing what to do in life. Some people are like they will choose both sides, it's like an immaturity, I think.

Hello Everyone,

In today’s world, social networking sites have made communication and group discussions easier and faster, allowing people to share ideas and opinions instantly.

They help connect people from different places and make discussions more interactive. However, they also have downsides like causing distractions, misunderstandings and spreading false information.

To get the best out of them, people should use these platforms wisely and focus on meaningful conversations.

Hello everyone, this is Komal.

According to me, social media has both positive and negative aspects. It all depends on how the users choose to use it. However, nowadays we can clearly see that social media is being used more for negative purposes.

To improve this, we need to educate the youth of India about the positive uses of social media and how it can benefit them when used wisely.

As we know, everything has two sides; we cannot completely remove the negative aspect, but we can work to reduce it. One way to do this is by introducing default settings in social media platforms specifically for students, where educational and study-related content is shown more than distracting videos. This would help reduce distractions and help students stay focused on their studies.

Today, even a six-year-old child has access to a phone. For such young users, we should set defaults that promote respect for parents and elders, and also showcase cultural values and traditions. Because if the foundation (the roots) is strong, then the whole structure (the building) will be strong. In the same way, if we build strong values in children from the beginning, our youth will not be easily distracted by nonsense content on social media.

In my opinion, Social Media is useful or not it's completely depending to the person who use it, he/she can use it gain knowledge, information upskilling himself/herself and even earn money on the other hand they can use it as entertainment which is okay for some extent but often they don't realise how much time they are wasting, another thing many little age children get free access to porn and other adult videos/comics which is not good for them and as well for society.

In last, I say by the experience that I have, nowadays social media has more negative impact than positive.

When we talk about social networks means it has both positive and negative sides, it's dependent on how we use it. On one side, it helps to learn, upgrade skills, explore technology, AI, and many more. Once upon a time, people used books to learning, but now social network makes that work very easy.

On the other side, we talk about negative means, of course, social media, which is killing people's time. We started using it for entertaining, but now we have started to spend more time. So it's dependent on how we use it.
