Examinations - has it killed education

Education and Exam are two mutually parallel aspects first comes education, it is the most important thing in our life a person must get education and must focus on learning various thing in life and on practical knowledge Rather then scoring in exams or doing race for good grades.

It doesn't matters that you got good grades or not matters only what good qualities and experiences you have and how to overcome from the worst situation.

Practical knowledge matters a lot rather than good grades.

I'm Tamilselvan. The examination system has not killed the education. ONE TIME WRITE AN EXAM IS EQUAL TO THE 10 TIMES OF READING THE SAME QUESTION. But our study method is very very poor. Just minding in our mind all and vomit on papers whatever they studied. This is not a proper study for exam. We should know the concept of our study. In real time when that is using. In my point of view, practical exams are much better than theoretical exams.

According to my point of view, examination is important because without examination only very less number of students studied their subject properly other not even without exams most of the students don't touch the books.

Exams do not measure the talent of a student but only thing is that due to fear of exams most of the student studied and gain a little knowledge. From the exams, anyone can learn the time management, his/her learning capability. And we are not talking about only written exam there are many practical exams also in our school and college life where many thing we learn in the day of practical exam related to working of machines, software.

If exams would not there then no one interested to know how do they work what is the importance of this machine and software.

Many students has interest in a particular field they are not interested to understand the other subjects but for those students, other subjects also important because in future it will help them. Like a mechanical student learn biology then after that, they know the joint of bones and how a person can move their hands and legs so that they design mechanical operated hand and legs for the physically disable person.

Exams are not judged the people talent but only because of exams no. Of people studied otherwise, they do not open the books.

Exams is a fear but it is good for the people because whatever we write in exams after exam everyone forgot but something they learn from that exam what mistakes he/she did in the exam. From exams, you learn discipline and how to make concentration.

As I hear all of your suggestions.

That we think that examination is a way of judging the student.

Basically, exams are good for the students just because students have to maintain their study well if there is no system of examination So nobody focus on your study.

Examinations of simple way where all the student's thanks show how much they are able.

If there is something wrong so that is not an examination that is the person who is conducting examination process. The system is doing unfair. And the persons or professors who are checking the notebooks they just want quantity not quality.

And this is my personal experience that the University wants only quantity. A huge amount of matter should be written in the notebook there is no matter it will be wrong or right.

So if something killed the education. That's not an examination. That's the system which supported fakeness. And not able to judge the student quality.

As I conclude. That we should support examination because it makes us more hard worker and able to stand with the front of others.

My opinion about this sensitive topic is that YES Examination has killed students. It has given lots of mental and physical pressure to us. Mental Pressure is there from two sides one is of too much and lengthy syllabus and the other from our parents. From our parents means they are thinking that getting good marks in EXAM means that we are good in studies and will be successful in future and getting bad marks in EXAM means that we are bad in studies and will be not successful in future and will not have a great career.

So, our parents force us to get good marks in EXAM anyhow. They didn't understand that by learning the basic things of the matter for lifetime and to get minimum marks is better to memorize the things for a short period of time and to omit it in the paper and to get full marks. They always run behind marks instead of giving sufficient time to their child.

And physical pressure because they think that by giving us in many tutions we can get more knowledge but we are getting the same knowledge by reading in one tuition only. And the students can't bear all this pressure.

Examination have killed education because nowadays student are more interested in getting marks than to understand it. In today's worlds there is a huge syllabus and to overcome it, student usually learn by their heart. Students those who don't have the learning up power they usually commit suicide.

I partially agree with the statement that examination system kills the education. In our society, three types of students are there.

1. People who don't like study.
2. People who love to study and having enthusiasm for study, they understand the subject in depth.
3. People who are cramming mugging without the feel of the subject and without understanding.

For the people type 1.

As you all know these people does not give their time to education if they are not forced. So by the fear of exam some what they get the knowledge by fear of exam.

For type 2 student, they love to study, exam makes people perform in pressure. They have very keen interest in education so they should be provided with the practical facility so that they explore the things.

For type 3 students, for these students exam is killing education because they are mugging without knowing the things, but by mugging, they get the marks and the purpose of education is not completed. For those type of students, the education system should be changed, it should be practical. So that mugging, cramming will not help this type of student.

1) Examination means we are trying to judge the ability of any person by a piece of paper and giving them grades as per the marks.

2) As per my opinion, exams are the best method to enhance the ability of the students and to get the best of the best extraordinary student among all.

3) but problem is that people always started to examine the person only as per the grades, maybe he or she is more talented in any other field.

4) Examination are always judged the learning capability of the person not how talented he/she is.

5) Govt should have changed the pattern of examination govt has to judge students according to his/her talent in every field.

6) We also have to change our mindset that exams are the only method to check the marks and ranks in the class, not about your capabilities.

7) We should encourage student if he/she is not getting marks because of some reason, not by scolding.

8) Judge a person according to his/her talent not how much he got in schools.

9) Definitely in many aspects Examination pattern is killing the real meaning of education. We in search of gold we are losing a diamond.

10) I have no complaints about the examination I have only with the pattern. Only need some updating. We can follow the exam pattern like the USA, Japan, etc.

According to me, exams make a student serious about studies. Without examination, the student will take their subjects lightly. But the main things that should be changed is our syllabus and the way of taking examinations. Examinations should be solely based on logic and practical knowledge. So there will be no need of cramming.

In my point of view, examinations is good for testing our knowledge on topics what we learnt in colleges or schools or any other places. But, because of some external forces students feel like stress and pressure in examinations.

In India, some educational institutions and parents are making force to get good marks to their students and children. It is good but it should be a certain limit. Because parents are telling to their children like this " you should get good marks otherwise you will not get success in your life. " with this words students studied hard and they by hart the concepts whether they understand or not.

According to me because of the above reason, most of the students are not getting jobs because of they are unable to do practical things and they are losing their thinking abilities.
