Basically, today's education system forces the children to cram things and forget about the true knowledge. Whatever we study is based on the examination point of view and, therefore, we forget it just after the examinations. It has blocked the student's vision and they do not try to cross their boundaries; they keep themselves limited just to the school books and forget about understanding the concepts. But are these examinations fair? They don't judge our knowledge but our cramming powers. So definitely examinations are somewhat killing education.

Well examinations are really necessary to assess a student's education. It is very important to know for the student where does he stand in today's competitive age. It lets us know our strength and weaknesses and also helps us to make ourself competent by assessing ourselves through regular examinations. But in India the examinations are not of the right kind. It is totally bookish knowledge based exams. Like in school days no reasoning classes are there but when we go for any competitive exam we encounter with these subjects. So education and exams should be taken in such a manner that prepare a student to face future challenges not just to score high. But having said that I would not support that examinations kill education but it is a part of education and it helps to see one's true position in cutting age competition. Thank you.

No, I don't agree that examination has the education. There are lot n lots who don't study the whole semester and only study only before the exams. If there will be no examination then they will Never fell like studying. Through the Indian education system which is completely based on examination, entrance, interview etc is has produce a number of people who are now working in big MNC. More than half of the employees in silicon valley are Indians. One's the owner of Microsoft was asked why your employees are mostly from India and he responded if I stop hiring Indian employees than there would be a another Microsoft in India.

I think that examinations are important in some case.

If a student study everything in a practical way then he doesn't need to give exam and if he gives exam also then he will get nice marks.

He will win all the race in life.

But if he gave the exam by not understanding anything then he will fail in his life even though he would have secured highest marks in class.

So through examination one can't say who is intelligent.

Actually, I laughed reading an answer below I mean giving test is fun FUN FUN really?FUN for whom it's like a bomb which actually just came with a load of stress, unwanted study at unwanted times, super mental dusturber, etc. So how can the exam be fun? It may be fun for some of the people only some from some I mean 20 out of 150. See like if I'm good in science I have taken the basic education of English and maths which are required in science also a little bit about social science from the little bit I mean very basic so everyone would know what is it. After 8 years mean in 8th class (13 year old) I would like to study only English, maths and science but there is nothing like it I have to choose a course of stream in which either you like or not you have to study those other subjects too if failing in that subject will ruin your career and marks. So not everyone is good at everything everyone has talent but is lacking to show it cause of this dumb education system as I have earlier posted. Exams should be conducted only if the person is interested in that field of the subject exam.

I think examinations are good or bad, it is decided by the student's perspective. If a student treats examinations like a platform to test his knowledge then it is good for them, but if he treats it like a burden, then he or she may get stressed about studying for examinations.

Hello everyone.

I would like to initiate by saying a few points about the topic assigned to us. Education is one thing everyone should have. It instill The thinking abilities about the course which he or she is studying and practically. But if we see now a days a student has to go through number of exams from kg to pg. That's not how an education system should be. Exams are curbing the thinking abilities of students which is the primary objective of education. What most of the students are doing is they won't listen to the class what The faculty is teaching, just a month or two before they will go through the books and will clear the exam. This type of education is a waste of one's time and money. The Major cause for unemployment in India is this type of examination based education. Even parents are also just focusing on their child marks instead of what The child is learning by going to school. I am not saying that there shouldn't be any exams but exams should be conducted in such a way that tets The student thinking abilities. I would like to conclude the topic by saying that college should take initiative to eliminate this type of education.

Hello everyone.

1) According to my opinion, on this topic. Yes, the examination is killing real education. In this era, every parent is in a rat race everyone just wants good grades only in academics nothing less than this. So this type of attitude is murdering the real talent of students.

2) some students are very perfect in sports, games and many other activities but because of pressure, they have to enrol themselves in education meanwhile they are not so much interested in the study.

3) Examination is the only method to judge that how intelligent you are not how much talented you are but in India marks are everything for parents they judge their kids according to marks.

4) Wherever a student goes only grades are important for every company.

5) Government should be changed the examination pattern and have to give marks according to the talent of the student.

6) Examination also creating jealousy, anxiety in between the students they feel alone and depressed.

7) School should give marks according to the reasoning of the students.

8) Indian education has this massive drawback that examination is the only method to recognize the ability of the student and that's mindset is 100% wrong. We keep in mind that talent and being intelligent these 2 things are vastly different from each other.

So in a nutshell examination really killing the real meaning of education there is a lot of scope in changing some important aspects in the examination pattern.

No, Examinations are needed. It checks whether we are aware of that particular subject. Also, it checks our ability to face problems. If there is no exam, then there will be no competition between students. Maybe they won't study at all.

According to my point of view,

Now-a-days, wherever we see there is a lot of competition in every field. If we take an example of an MBA entrance exam, there are 80, 000 candidates and seats were only 40, 000. So, if there is no examination then how we conduct that seats to students. Without examination students were no more to interested in studies. Some students are there who learn for the knowledge, and those who does not atleast they learn it from the fear of the examination. Education is the first need to live a wealthy life in future. So, examination has not killed the education in my point of view.
