Dude now the world is changed and why do people stick on to the traditional beliefs that only men can become good managers ? Those who possess the managerial talents, skills and ability to coordinate can become managers. Its not immaterial that only men can be the good managers. Nowadays womens are also equally talented than that of men in all aspects, so its nothing that like only men can become good managers. Infact womens take quick decisions than that of men and obviously they are successful in their work. So I just wanna conclude by saying that don't just simply criticize women, because they can do anything and everything.

Yes, I am absolutely in favor of this topic. It is well said that women are good managers and they will always be. We can see the live demo of this in our homes where women manage the home very well. After this, we can move on to their professional work where also they excel. Women are more powerful than men in mental ability. They have more patience than men and it is scientifically proven also. So why we always underestimate women they are the shining stars in this dull world. From the starting of this universe we have seen what role women had played so they were, they are and they will be good managers.

As per my point of view, the management is a skill. Skills are developed, and are not gifted by god.
When a person faces a problem thy try to tackle it by thr resoning, logic, even experiences. That what increases their decision-making ability.
. When his /her decision adds value to the progress that we can say that he/she has good management skills. This has nothing to do with person's gender.
We all know about Google's CEO. He is male and a bank of India's manager is female.
They both are in this position because of their talent and skills.
I would like to conclude that we can't pass any judgement on whether women are good managers or men are.

Yes, maybe or may be not.
I believe gender is irrelevant to management and the ability to manage. Both genders have equal capabilities to learn and grow as a manager. We have a lot of women in the top management of various top companies. Counter to this is the argument that still 4% of the Fortune 500 companies have women CEOs, but in my belief that accounts to our history of bad gender diversity incorporates which has been improving gradually nowadays. However, though men & women have equal abilities to learn as managers, their performance might depend upon the work environment they are placed in, what they manage, etc. Like women placed in a drilling rig might not manage workers as good as their male counterparts. Similarly, men as sales managers wherever client dealing and convincing is involved, might not perform as good as women. Thus in my opinion men and women can both be good managers but their performance may depend in certain situations upon certain specific job profiles.

According to me, it's not the gender which describes the good manager but it is the skills which one has to manage the company. And of course women are good in managing their personal and professional life at the same time. So women do make the good manager.

I don't agree that women are better managers than men, however, I also beg to differ that men are better managers than women. Management is a skill to be developed rather than a God gifted quality. Hence we cannot designate a gender to a particular position as it would be as baseless as the argument claiming that women are bad drivers. Both can be good or bad managers. It is a subjective quality which depends on an individual person. So, I would like to take a more of a neutral stand on this statement.

Look at Yahoo, Lehman Brothers, HP, etc. See what happens when leadership is given based on gender.
Women, in general, don't make good managers as men. Most people here are saying that women have good patience, well then they are not living in reality. Women are also not good risk takers, they always play the game safely & traditionally. This hampers the growth of any company. Without taking big risks no company can be successful in the long run.
Women are multitaskers is also a myth. Today working women don't know how to cook, take care of their children or elders but what they are interested is in partying, outing & boozing office culture.
Now I'm expecting a radical feminist backlash.

Hello everyone,
I am Umesh, Umesh khadela from NIPER, Mohali.
First of I am totally agree with the given topic that women can be good managers, because from the starting of their life they used to manage so many things like they have to do house work with educational life. With job they have to handle her parent family and after marriage also they have to handle two family and all work.
So managerial skills are inherently available in the women, but those who shows it to the outer world they can be good managers.
Also mentality of indians are now changing, they are giving equal importance to women in decision making process. And that's why more women managers are coming into pictures.
i.e. Kiran mazumdar.
Neeta ambani.
Ekta kapoor.
Swati Piramal.
And so many.
In the end, I will conclude that women possess the capacity to be a good manager but thing is they should get chance to show their capabilities.

In my opinion, it's not the gender which describes a good manager. It's 21st century and women are no more working as CEOs in their kitchens they can also work and handle the same position as men. It's the attitude, skills, knowledge and experience which decides a good manager and not the gender.

According to me, it is based on the ability to manage the things in a diverse situation and on taking the right decision in terms of productivity and profitability and also other managerial skills. It does not based on gender. Women have the ability to manage things from childhood. They manage household budgets and many diverse situations. In today's scenario, women are also managing things outside the home in a very good way. So According to me, a woman can make very good managers.
