According to me, a smart city must give the best possible benefits to the poor. There should be no regional or category discrimination. A smart city is of no use without smart citizens, so we must give a quality education to all the citizens. A smart city is the means to make a country develop. A smart city can make the daily leaving of people a little different than normal which will encourage other cities to start the same initiatives and resulting in making India a developed country. We must attempt for a Smart city project and start an attempt to make a developed India and educated citizens.

The motto of the "smart cities" is to make India more developed. But working only for cities does'nt Going make India a developed nation! If the base is not strong automatically the building will be weak. Now here the base is villages in India. In INDIA, 80% of the population lives in rural areas and villages, they don't even have the basic facilities like education, electricity supply, water supply, banks etc. So before jumping on things which are already developing we should more concentrate on the areas which are acutally underdeveloped.

THAT WILL MAKE INDIA SMART AND DEVELOPED!

THANK YOU.

Hi, everyone.

First of all, I will answer to the question and goes to the reason. Yes, we need smart cities but the way we proceed to make smart is wrong. People in cities think that smart city is nothing but the major number of literate, major number of becoming leaders but it's not the way we have to keep the city in smart like any other city. No one should talk in a negative way about the city in anything. Either in cleaning or maintaining the city in all the aspects as our India is a developing country it's always been developing by making it smarter we should make it by unity.

Thank you.

Exactly friends.

Nowadays our PM started a scheme to create more cities as a smart city.

And this scheme is going under working very fastly like in Lucknow metro has been a start. In Delhi, Delhi metro is increasing. And Bangalore has become the first unpopulated city in our country. And now govt is planning to start metro in Allahabad and many more.

So, we should motivate our villages and small cities to take part in this scheme. And develop the cities as well as villagers. Not to pollute everywhere.

I hope in the coming time more of our cities will be come under the smart cities.

Thanks.

I don't think we need a smart city because Our country is just a developing country not developed. As we know in our country. Many civilised people's are dependent on agricultural and we know where their position is. Not only in agriculture I think many classes they can not get just their requirements. 1st of all government should have to concern about them and try to remove their problems. Because the country will not on the path of success until those backward people will not be developed.

I conclude my point by saying. Only by making smart city our country will not be a developed country.

Hi guys,

Yes, we do need smart city and for why "we always look into very generic problem like unemployment, poverty, education system, but after knowing particular field can we able to point out things that are going wrong".

Now from why our question is converted into how? "how can we find the problem (corruption, unemployment poverty, education system) in most optimistic way" so for that we have use digitalization in each every field and IOT can be huge help on this. Now we have data as evidence to justified the facts bring a solution for problem.

So, yes, we do really need smart city.

Yes, we really need smart cities because smart cities mean advancement of technologies, economic growth of individual, pollution free cities as we all talking about clean India. If we consider the present situation of India we'll see that in summer most of the states are affected by flood (eg. Assam, Bihar etc). Moreover, in India, more than 30% people are in below poverty line. That implies that our government is unable to solve the basics problems of our country. So I think instead of focusing on making smart city government of India should focus on solving these vital problems right now.

Hello friends,

I don't think that right now we are in that phase to have smart cities in our country. We have many other major problems such as poverty, poor rural development, poor security etc. Hence instead of focusing towards these problems if we are in a hurry to make smart cities and are providing funds for the same, then it will not be much more beneficial. I don't say that smart cities are not necessary but instead of making our entire country smart, if we are making just some 100-110 cities smart and the rest cities and villages are left as they are then it will not be effective.

Good morning everyone,

According to me, we need smart cities because of day by day technology increases, new things were invented so to cope up with this we need smart cities but with this, we also need smart government. Smart cities not only about multi storage, buildings good infrastructure but it is also about to provide safety like providing safety (eg-cc tv and connect it to cloud (internet) so that if anyone in problem action can take quickly) it will also increase tourism in India which will increase Indian economy. We also need smart cities to connect small cities.

Thank you.

We need smart and sustainable cities. We should try and implement successful innovations practiced elsewhere in the world particularly related to urban farming/vertical farming. The idea of a smart city should be an evolving one because the needs and requirements will vary as we go forward. The key goal is to successfully adapt to these changing conditions such as changes in the urban ecosystem due to climate change factors, breaks in the food supply chain systems and so on. The game-changer is not just technology but innovations aimed at adapting to a different sets of circumstances.
