I agree with you, but I want to add more little things.
Need ness of smart cities is change with respect of the country. Our Indian economy based on agriculture. Most of the people belong to rural areas, if we don't think about them then how can we get increase our GDP.
You well know most of the people left the village and come to live in smart cities, can you think only increase the no of smart cities we can increase our economy, no it's not possible for the agriculture-based country. So first choice to need smart village instead of smart cities. We don't against the smart cities concept but not primary choice.

Hello, friends.
First of all, what is a smart city?
The Smart city is a city where each and every facility must be available to the people at their doorsteps with many conveniences. The city where we can see economical growth, best educational facility, best healthcare provided, comfortable transportation facilities etc available.
In my point, we do not need smart cities at the current situation because the maximum percentage of people in India are illiterate and live in poverty. So the major concern of the government must be to utilize the revenue generated to make literacy rate higher and reduce poverty.

Hello guys,
In my point of view, yes, of course, we need a smart city but before this we need smart people. People are like bricks, and if we will use good quality of bricks and cement then building will be strong automatically. People of India are mostly uneducated and they don't have home and a proper school. So I think first, the government should provide a proper school in the village, job, electricity, water etc. When the people will get proper education proper job then the city will be converted into smart city. Government should decrease education rate, they should open a no. Of colleges, school.

I think that this time we really need to go to smart cities, at first we want a graduate people in our country without that it is not possible if once all Indian people have educated then I think this time is correct to make smart cities. Let's take an example if we see other countries is there have everyone is graduate no but that people is well aware of smart cities, now this time to change Indian thinking once you do that then I think this is the right time to do. Nd when smart cities are developed it's very helpful of us because it takes less time to do.
And they may help for to reduce your effort.

Hi friends.
My name is Shital.
As per my view, a smart city is a place where we have the basic amenities along with advanced technology. So developing the agricultural and industrial areas along with the appropriate knowledge for the same with the mass who are involved with it will make the place a smart city as they will know how to utilise their domain to get the best for all. If our base i.e. the mass is educated and given appropriate technology then the place it will be used for will become smart and smartness should never be restricted only in cities but this will make it spread across the globe.

Hi, this is Priya.
According to me, the need of smart cities quite embracing as we already came up with smart cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad wes developed technologically and commercially. Due to the migration from villages to nearby cities leads to increase in population. It may create employment opportunities but general consumers facilities will be worse and the cost of living will also more it becomes difficult for middle and poor class families.
We can expect more smart cities only when making already existed smart cities to pollution-free and with abundant resources.

Friends, I feel that instead o focussing on smart cities we should focus more on the population explosion. It I good to have less of better quality rather than more of low quality. We are already getting so distant and less interconnected with each other and all these mobiles and sensors and glittery options whose authenticity of which also we are not sure of, taking away the majority of our focus and energy that we have stopped having a life. I am a very hard believer that its population growth which we should take care of. Long live our Great India. Long live our world. Let there be love and peace.

India is going to the path of development. And it is also a great way to say that we are developing by making cities smart.
But we also think about the great part of the population which have only one problem that they are hungry. They have little Education, they don't want smart cities even they don't know about smart cities.
I think the government should take a step to do something for them. The Government should give technology to the deep in India. So I think education should be given to them. And when education is given. It may work easily to make cities smart and make people smart firstly.

Yes, we should definitely think and take action for the smart cities. But for the smart cities, people need to be more smarter and should have wider mindset. Since smart cities implies better infrastructure such as proper water management and supply system, power supply system, roads and transportation system, use of renewable sources of energy, digitalisation, information and communication technology, use of newer technologies, people need to be aware about this. So, govt should go hand on hand with the vision of smart cities and create awareness about it in every nook and corner in the country.

Hi,
In my point of view, before living in a smart city the citizens must be smart. For that, we need to make huge changes in our education system.
If the people will not be educated/smart then how they will utilise the facilities.
How will they maintain the smart cities?
So at first, we need to learn - what actually means of the smart city? What are the facilities? How can we utilise?
So let the Indians make smart. Then we will no need to discuss this matter, they will automatically change their way of living and make the city smartest.
