Hello, everyone. I want to add some point that quality is the primary requirement to fill our need. In daily life every Indian focus towards quality and cost. Sometimes generally people think that if any product has good quality then it's cost might be high, it is not true in every case. Indian focus on best in lowest or maximum possible way. And it is true all around the world.

In my view in India, there are three type of affordable class.

One is high class, middle-class & poor class, so quality conscious depend on class, high class goes for better & good quality, middle-class look for quality & quantity & the poor class has affordability issue, so they are not quality minded.

Yes, I agree with all of my friend's opinions. But I would also add a few more extra points regarding about this topic. According to my point of view, we the people of India are classified into 3 categories poor, middle classes. Each categorised people think in a way according to their mindset.

* Poor might think that I should get more quantity rather than get good quality.

* Middle class thinks in both cases I should get a good quality with good quantity according to my budget I have.

* The rich might think that whatever I purchase that must be a best-branded one with a good quality and its sufficient for him even if he receive less quantity.

Hi,

I think since most of the Indians belong to a middle-class family so they believe in quantity over quality!

This is true for the poor people also. For example, a poor family would prefer buying more quantity of food than that of more quality in the same price. As for the rich people in India they believe in quality and brands obviously.

In my point of view, most of Indians are belong middle class family. They are not less quality concious. It is all about money if a person is rich then they buy quality product if the person can't buy products they purchase only which are affordable which fulfill their requirements. Indians always want quality product with minimum cost. But with the minimum cost is not provide a good quality product.

Inflation also plays a major role. In quality product.

Hello, guys, I don't think so that Indians are less quality conscious. It's all about money. 80% of Indians belongs to middle class. Who has to think upon before buying any product. Whether it affects their monthly budget or they can afford it or not. Quality does not matter to a person who does not have enough money to have a single meal in a day. Quality matters only for them who can afford high-quality products.

Hii friends,

It's a good topic for discussion. I don't agree with this topic. As from my point of veiw, India is developing country and all peoples want the good quality product. They check the quality of the product. But, we know India has more population density and not all are richer almost, 80% peoples are from middle class and they can't afford the expensive product.

All peoples want a good quality product with cheap price. So India also conscious about the quality. They also concern the quality of the product and buy the best one.

According to me, this point totally depends on persons and mindsets because India having a type of people some belong to a middle-class family, some belong to the lower class and some belong to higher class so higher class persons also buy a good product and middle-class people are also buy less quality product. They want to buy a good quality product but, they have not enough money so Indians are not less quality conscious.

Hello, everyone! I don't think Indians are less quality conscious. Everyone looks for a good quality. But Some of the markets offer fewer quality products at a low rate so people are attracted to them. Some people have less usage of some products so, in this case, they may buy low-quality ones. Those who want to use a product every day will opt for good quality. Depending on the person it differs. But most of the people first check the quality, then only buy them. Only a few people buy such low-quality ones.

Thank you!

Well guys, I don't think so Indians are less quality continuous. Suppose if they are, they wouldn't conduct examination like CAT, GATE, etc to get the best ones.

India is the country where all type (rich, poor and middle class) of people live, doesn't matter what amount of money they invest but everyone want best of what they paid for. A very common example of how a person buys vegetables or fruit by checking the quality also proves that "yes we are quality conscious".
