Hi, everyone.

I am Malatesh Daddikoppa.

Are Indians less quality conscious,

In my view "I agree with this sentence" why because 60 percent of Indian peoples want more quantity in lesser price it means they want lower quality products,

I want dividing first Indian population.

1. In India 50percent of people are middle-class people.
2. 30 percent of people are rich people.
3. Remaining 20 percent of people are poor people.

80 percent middle class and poor people want to buy lower quality products only.

Only rich people want to buy better quality products so Indians are less quality conscious.

There is no matter like it is a quality material and that's not. Every company will produce their goods or materials to better quality only for the better future of their company. But we categorized it in our way.

But as an Indian should be a less quality conscious because we are still developing. Not developed. All are not rich fellows. 75% of Indians are from poor background. So these all people will prefer for quality but in a less price and they will get it. Only rich fellows prefer for quality in high price. But totally quality should be must in lesser price or in higher price for Indians.

In my opinion, Indians are some what more quality conscious than other. If we look at the fact that most of the next generation Indian are paying a good amount of money for the Technical education such as B-Tech rather pursuing B.Sc which is cheaper. This is only due to people opinion that technical degree has more quality. This clearly illustrates that Indians are no less quality conscious they afford good sum of money for quality. Of course there are some field which can be compromised so that part is generally on the basis of there financial status, otherwise, no one wants less quality.

Nowadays if we see there are three categories peoples (middle class, upper middle class, rich).

Every person from every class needs quality product as it is time requirement. More than 80% of Indians are educated to know what quality product should purchase for keep long term so in future they do not purchase again and again means it will not effect on budget.

Today's market shows more competition in every product like if we look for simple soap then we can see there are multiple brands only in soap. And people goes only for a good product which will show more comfort and effective.

India is the second largest populated country after China. In India we can see different economical & educational levels of the peoples. Depends on their financial status and awareness towards the quality of the products they are buying the things. In India, poor peoples are compromising with the quality as their main focus is to fulfil their primary needs. Peoples are checking for long-term utility and more quantity at less price, the entire population we can't say less conscious about quality overall it depends on the economical & educational level of the Indian peoples.

In my opinion, Indians buy things according to their financial condition, their need and choice.

According to the common man point of view, they see quality only on those things which they want for a long time otherwise they compromise with quality if they get a thing at an average price with less quality.

That's why the Chinese things are very popular in our India. Chinese co. Are not providing us good quality product but instead of this, we are buying.

Indians invest their money only after thinking about the product utility (in terms of time) and their financial capability.

In my opinion, yes, we sometimes can be. For most people, accessibility to quality products gets restricted due to the huge unorganized market. One would rather buy a sub-standard product from the retail store than go to the mall 5km from their locality. This only focuses on the inefficient supply chain that compromises quality for profit.

Substandard schools, food wastage, high shelf life (FMCG), hygiene (open slaughterhouses) etc. Are some of the examples.

Of course, there are those that are extremely conscious of what they buy. They can afford to do so the top 1%.

Hi, everyone.

According to me, Indians are quality conscious because duplicity is common in our country. In India, when we go to market there is always a high chance of getting duplicate instead of original branded products. Also, the economical situation of the family purchasing the product, let's us know about their quality consciousness, If the person belongs to higher class they are more quality conscious than the middle class, who are always looking up to their budget. The lower class want more in quantity than in quality so, them being conscious is not an issue.

According to me, INDIANS are quality conscious people.

Yes, I strongly support my answer, Before analyze it I accept, here people in India who give more important to price because of in-equal economic condition but not all times. Yeah, it is time to listen to TATA NANO car.

Obviously, it is cheap rate and applicable for most of all and their economic condition but it is failure project in INDIA.

Especially Indians has unique reasoning power they know where to see the product and where to see the price. So, I strongly state that INDIANS are quality conscious people.

According to me,

If you consider the whole nation that is India, with a large population, different types of people, with great diversity, we can not give a statement that Indian are less Quality conscious. Quality increses with price or cost. If you try to reduce the cost the quality will automatically affect.

So the conclusion is, it depends on the income or money that the person is having.

Also, India has been in Jugaad system as we all know. Somewhere for getting profit, saving time, we as indians have developed this system which reduces the quality.
