It is clearly stated as Indian's are less quality conscious because people are unaware towards the goods as well as services are available in the market. However government play a vital role for spreading the awareness in the society viz. ,

1. Bijli Hum Bachayenge advertisement.

2. Ghar ghar Shochalaya advertisement.

3. Kishan Vani on Radio etc.

Less consciousness towards quality are seen in the rural market. In rural market people are having low economic condition so they can't Buy quality goods.

But in urban market people are aware towards quality. So quality consciousness directly depends on the economic conditions of an individual person.

Yes, I agree with all of my friend's opinions. But I would also add a few more extra points regarding about this topic. According to my point of view, we the people of India are classified into 3 categories poor, middle classes. Each categorised people think in a way according to their mindset.

* Poor might think that I should get more quantity rather than get good quality.

* Middle class thinks in both cases I should get a good quality with good quantity according to my budget I have.

* The rich might think that whatever I purchase that must be a best-branded one with a good quality and its sufficient for him even if he receive less quantity.

By seeing out everything, I may think that if an Indian Producer seem to supply there goods in a domestic market then he don't bother about the quality of good. On other side if willing to supply in Foreign market then he seriously consider about the quality. I don't know why they seems to provide the inferior quality of goods in domestic market, as there is no quality check of product from government in regular intervals.

The Government department has to be strict in the checking the quality of goods, as what they are providing for the citizen of their own nation. Please also awake in this Topic or it will always continue like this.

Hello friends.

As far as my opinion I don't think India is a not quality conscious its just like that Indians don't spend more on products which are not much affected by quality. As we Indians if want to purchase a car we spend much more on a good car that's why these Giant company are selling there car in India. And if we see all other products the scenario is like that only.

But if we have to spend on clothes we compromise with quality some times and that's not so bad as they are just clothes. And we don't forgot that India has a culture of saving that's why India has never face such recession as USA has also once face it.

Yes, but the mindset can change depending on the education given maybe. I have met Indians with extremely high work ethic, and I have met Indians who are some terrible people. It's all over the map individually. However, culturally, I think there are relaxed standards.

When Vespa first open their factory in India, the Indian workers were painted everywhere specific except for the bottom of the vehicle. They must have rationalized that no one would see it, so they didn't need to disregarding the fact that painting has more benefits than simply looks and that people paying for a product would like to know that it's quality.

Hi. This is Dhananjay. Today topic is Indians are less quality conscious.

If you have money, then you will become quality conscious. In India. We all know that. Poverty, illiteracy and population are the main factors which is pulling India's growth towards the downside.

When will you become more quality conscious?

When you will have sufficient money. Through which you can choose the things best you want. These are the things. Which we called quality conscious.

Not only India but also some other country where destitution and other factors are just the main factors which lead them to less quality conscious.

Thank you.

Hello, Friends.

As per me, Indians have become quality conscious from last 2 years due to awareness by advertisement and other sources.

You all must have observed that as per the earning, every Indian choose the best product which suits to his pocket and has the sustaining ability for the long period.

Basically, it is a thinking that we buy good products for maintaining our living standard in corporate.

Live example of choosing quality products are increasing the business of brands such as Levis, Puma, Raymond, Adidas, Nike etc.

Conclusively we are moving ahead with more conscious about the quality of the product.

In India, there are different class of people living together. The quality is also different as the class. Because each person can't afford anything which he wants. He has to compromise for quality or at least for quantity. There are many duplicate products with the same taste more in quantity but not good in quality. Eg-: If we go in shopping mall we can see on hand there is maggie sauce and on other hands, there is tomato ketchup with some different in size and less in price. The middle-class family will prefer that as they are giving same taste good in quantity as well. So they won't focus on quality somewhere.

Indians are quality conscious as I believe Indian purchase high-quality products at high price. Indians always look for best quality products in market. Indians are quality conscious but sometimes they are attracted towards the product just because packaging which is attractive. These products are fancy and attractive but these type of fancy items like Chinese lightings cost is less people buy these because of there cheapness and attractiveness of Chinese products. China provides attractive lights at low prices. So we can say that Indians are only attracted towards Chinese products because of low prices.

We don't lack quality consciousness, we just plan our budget in such a way that we end up buying the low-cost goods to survive the month. And it's not that we are not quality conscious, we are highly quality conscious in regards to our health, food, and education which is why we even if we lack the money take loans and get them at the best quality possible.

Compared to how it was in the past, we have improved a lot in terms of quality. In a country with most of its people from a middle-class background, purchasing high-quality costly goods is quite difficult. But we are always happy with what we have.
