According to me most of the people of India are quality conscious but they Compromise with it due to lack of money. And we can see that in rich and poor families.

I am presenting my views on the topic - "Are Indians less quality concerned".
According to me, this is a wrong notion seeing the present scenario. From decades the debate of quality vs quantity is going on. In every aspect of our life, we have to face this issue especially while purchasing. Although money is an important factor in deciding whether we should opt for quality or quantity, the perspective of a person is also important. Sometimes people give so much importance to money that they forget about quality. India consists of poor, middle and rich class.
Talking about the poor class of people, they cannot afford to check about quality. Its only the middle class or rich people who can afford it. Before 2000, Very few people of India were quality conscious. But with the rise in the no. Of middle classes more and more people are becoming quality conscious. That's the reason why the competition among retailers is rising and they are flooding the Indian market with the quality products. Also, the entry of foreign companies has made the competition tough but this has only ensured quality in the products.
Another aspect which I want to focus on is that it is not necessary that higher the price of the product, higher will be its quality. One's primary focus should be on buying quality products, but if it is not in affordable range then the consumer had to purchase a low-quality product. So, it will be wrong on our part to say that Indians are not quality conscious.
Thank You.

People are much aware of many things around them. In the past years people give much importance to money but not quality, but as for now, people are much aware of quality but not quantity or money. At present many deaths are happening due to lack of quality food and also using cheap liquids for mixing up in milk used for babies, this should be eradicated in order to make India healthy. Comparing from our grandfather and up to us the lifespan of people is reducing due to heavy usage of quality fewer products.
Thank you.
Thank you.

According to me, Indians are less conscious because out of 100% of people, 60% of the people are below poverty line in India. As I want to say that the rural area's people are not quality conscious that doesn't mean all people are not conscious. In rural area people are having low economic condition so they can't buy quality goods. It is the fact that education of people directly proportional to quality of life. So quality consciousness directly depend on the economic condition of an individual person.

We can't tell that all Indians are like this because I thought its depend on upon the financial background. Low financial backgrounded people want more quantity with less price but it's totally different in rich people they need good quality products they do not bother about the quantity and price also but unfortunately most of the Indians are middle-class family so as myself I thought the financial situation decide the Indians quality conscious.

Hello friends,
According to me, we Indians were giving more importance to quantity than quality before 2 or 3 decades ago. But after started the era where both quantity and quality mattered a lot.
And now most of the people rich or middle class choose to have a quality product than just the quantity, that's because of the fact that durability of the quality products.
Although people below the line of poverty still go with the quantity one, because of their financial troubles.
So I would say people of India are becoming quality conscious with the time.

Quality, unlike quantity, is not measurable to be prescribed as high or low. We live in a country where the majority are middle class or lower middle class. These people have to cope with many problems and scarcity here where one of them is unemployment. Though the government is trying their best to provide education to each and everyone but that does not eradicate unemployment. So in a country where the rate of population growth is far more compared to the rate of employment people even if they are concerned about quality they have no choice as it is out of affordable range. They are trying their best to purchase quality products as they can within their affordable range. So it can be concluded that people here are conscious about quality, it's just that they can't afford the rate of quality needed for a happy and secure life.

Hello everyone,
In my point of view today people are much health conscious they prefer good and best quality product. But we don't ignore the weaker section of our society as they are not capable enough to make a purchase of the better quality product. If govt. make some efforts to uplift this weaker section then I think we Indians are very much quality conscious. In countries like USA people are very much health conscious. Even developed countries have an intake of 3400 calories with good quality products per individual but in India calories, intake is only 2976 then how we will grow and make our country develop. At last, I just want to say that quality consciousness among Indians be there only if better facilities be there if better facilities & good earnings are there then everyone will prefer to live a quality life.

We all Indian are less quality conscious because we always looking for factory sale, discount, quantity, and looks we never bother about quality. Today tele-shoping and online shopping are in great boom where we buying goods without seeing we just attracted by the price. The reason behind this is average salary in India is four-time lesser than China and ten timed lesser then Japan we just think about quality.
But we can not afford. One more reason is illiteracy people doesn't even know what is quality.

Hello,
I completely disagree with the thought that Indians are less quality conscious. Yes, I agree that every Indians buy the product according to their economic condition but that doesn't mean that we are less quality conscious and I also want to say that we should not bifurcate urban and rural people of India as because everyone wants a quality which he can use a certain period of time.
Those people who agree with the thought that Indians are less quality conscious the best example is "Nano" car everyone knows in India that this car is less expensive and also it can afford by number of middle class and lower class people but the product was failed and such an innovative idea didn't get profit after manufacturing in India. Many rural people don't want to buy the car when that car come in their budget.
So that would be the best example for us that Indian people are not less quality conscious.
Thank you.
