Hello guys,
My opinion about Indians is may be a bit different than yours.
I think Indians are very wise and on focus price as well as quality. Being an Indian I will always buy a thing that is available at a cheap price and good quality.
Because of this cheap price many people think that the material is of low quality. They never know that the material is the best that could have been bought at this price.

First of there are 3 categories of Indians.
1- Middle class.
2- Poor class.
3- Rich class.
So those who are capable they go for quality and those who are not capable they try to get that product at low cost so definitely there will be the decrement in quality. But it doesn't mean that Indians are less quality conscious.

Indians are intelligent. So in a country where intellectuality is high how people can be of less quality conscious or not aware of anything? why because Indians are very much capable of producing best quality goods and making those avail at less cost in the market to their consumers to their full satisfactory level. So they are both price as well as quality conscious.

Hello, Friends.
As per me, Indians have become quality conscious from last 2 years due to awareness by advertisement and other sources.
You all must have observed that as per the earning, every Indian choose the best product which suits to his pocket and has the sustaining ability for the long period.
Basically, it is a thinking that we buy good products for maintaining our living standard in corporate.
Live example of choosing quality products are increasing the business of brands such as Levis, Puma, Raymond, Adidas, Nike etc.
Conclusively we are moving ahead with more conscious about the quality of the product.

I want to add one more point, it is not necessary a brand product has good quality. Some of the local manufacturers are in the market, they provide a good quality product at a normal price. Everyone wants good quality.

Yes, Indians are quality conscious. The only reason is an Economic status that compels us to do so. Can you expect a below average income family to go and shop in luxurious shopping malls for the sake of quality? The answer is simply No, rather they would prefer local cheap type markets. We might find the difference between a normal T-Shirt and a branded T-Shirt like Reebok, but still, both cover our bodies, and you can't deny this fact. So, if we can afford such branded equipment, then obviously we will go for it.

Indian are quality conscious or not, it can't be commented that easily but yes we if we have liberty of choosing a product having different prices, most of us most of the times prefer to have the cheaper one and high cost doesn't ensure that the product will be of better quality, it may ensure it but it will definitely not ensure that the cheaper one will not be as per the quality of it.
The reason behind such a behaviour of us is our history. During the British era, most of the Indians were very much deprived of even the basic necessities of our life and to get it we had to rely on the substandard products which tended to cheap. Now after independence, our living standards improved significantly but habit of spending less hasn't. So still we most of the time prefer to go with the cheap alternative of any product. We are improving on it and as number of Indians are coming out of the poverty, more are they conscious regarding the quality of product they are using, but still most of us don't and they are most seen and thus we develop a notion that we Indians are not quality conscious.

Indians less conscious because for the lack of Awareness, Awareness process are very low in India, nowadays awareness is increasing, people are aware now and all the are happening due to competition in markets so we need to strengthen our markets as well by implementing reformation.

Not at all. According to me in this time we have become more conscious about the quality of a product or something. It's also true that we were not even aware of this word 'QUALITY' in our previous time or we can say that we were so miser and quantity oriented not quality. But now we prefer BRAND. It doesn't mean that we have become rich. Kanjoosi is in our blood. We only buy a branded product when there is 40%, 50% or up to 100% off its just because we have become smart enough to manage our money without compromising the quality.

I agree with the statement we Indians always prefer a quality over the quantity.
As discussed in an earlier discussion we have assorted class of societies while every individual wants to have a better quality of goods but at some point, they need to restrain the best considering some factors which do not suit their pockets.
Apparently, Indians are the best choice makers as they go with both trend and quality.
