A Person should not be too honest; Straight Trees are cut first

There are so many aspects to this question. Honestly, as "hey I think your fat!" That is indeed honest, but is it MORE so inconsiderate, and no adult should ever be mistaken honesty for ignorance.

Another, is on a wider scale, like politics, and dealing with false power, making yourself vulnerable to the wrong people, is certainly also something an adult should be well aware and guarded of. Because honest people are rare. Its nature and survival, unfortunately. Only true people of this earth know what honesty is, or isn't. We know best. And it should always be tightly kept to pass on to generations.

I believe the problem, and the reason we all even have to ask this silly question, is the masses of society. Which is ultimately very influential, powerful, and even natural.

Honest people are strong people, and only the strongest will survive.

I am Saisnata. Actually I am confused that, people often say those who take the positive side wins the success at last. Is that true?If yes, my question is that when this last comes. Look at the world history there has always been defeat and destruction of many sensitive people who are in positive side. Like Mohammad Ghori came and killed many sensitive people. When the last comes. Britishers came and made many huge loss, tortured, terminated and many people were killed, exterminated and segregated. When the last comes.

So I suppose those all to be past and let it away. But I could not any any positive chances in the modern world even. So can anybody is there who can make me clear that if this like things will happen, how the morality could be explored, how an innocent child can walk on a corrupted road.

I am surrounded by dishonest, so-called people. It is a lonely world out there unless you have Honesty.

Honesty to me is knowing what needs to be said and not saying it. Lying is the same thing but it applies only when inquired about, what needs to be said still isn't said.

I believe white lies are discretionary and not necessarily bad. i.e. Honey your dress looks great! Even though it may not look THAT great. Nobody hurting, no collateral damage.

Lies that hurt people are bad because they leave a scar. i.e. Destroy lives, jobs, friendships, basic Trust. I haven't knowingly met an Honest person in months if not years.

Dishonesty is something I will not entertain nor allow around me. I will probably die lonely and poor but it is because of the dishonesty shaping the world around me.

What is the real meaning of honesty. Telling truth is not just honesty. Every one is honest until they can't get affected by consequences. One who faces all the consequences even though he loss everything is the real honest. Like our Great father of the nation Gandhiji. No one likes to follow honest people. The sad thing about it is they only limited to praising on the occasions of their birth and death days.

In my opinion, being diplomatic is best rather than honest. It looks nice to praise honest one, but in reality no one accepts others honesty. Because even a dishonest person thinks he himself is most honest in his perspective.

Just be like water so that you can overcome the problem or if necessary you can wipe out the problem with storm, rather than standing like straight tree.

I work in a govt department. I believe that honesty is the best.

Policy but today due to my honesty I faces a lot of problems, mental harassment from my seniors, and so on. Even when I shared about this with my friends and parents, they also started blaming me for being too honest towards my duties and responsibilities and tried to teach me that these words only suits in books not in real life.

Their comments took my sleep away and compelled me to think again on the topic. I cannot understand as it was said that the way of honesty may have problems but at night you will sleep well with cool heart and mind however the honesty took my sleeps too. Hence now I believe that Of course Honesty is the best policy but only in limits. If crossed it will be as harmful as a nuclear weapon.

I think the topic should be seen as applying the honesty towards achieving goals. When we are aiming at our goals, our culture tells us to follow honesty. But we should not be too honest that will come as hindrance to achieve the goal. I mean sometimes there needs to make compromise which will not foul with our honesty but make a way towards our target. Sometimes too much honesty is seen as stubbornness.
We call a person successful who knows to how to back a step to move two step forward. That is the reason a car has the back gear. It is nothing with too much honesty. Infact in that case it is the showing off honesty. We should be honest to our ethics and at the same times careful about our goal to reach so that it would never stop in half way like the straight trees cut first.

Therefore, my contribution is: if you cannot afford to be screwed for being (too) honest why not keep quiet or change the subject of the situation "for a man is known sometimes for his word". Better still, if the situation can take away life, try to explain your reason than stating fact (like Yes or No). Because this sometimes change the mind of people. I believe a honest man ought to have a honest deed or word to defend. Afterall, in the absence of straight tree, others will still be cut and if you are wise with your word to convince them despite your honesty, you will prevail over them. God first.

Why an honest people are expected to be 100 percent honest. No intelligent student are able to give answer 100 percent. In college life or in other fields there are no one boys who never make any comments or held hindrance to girls student, it does not mean he is anti-socials elements.

Obtaining above 89 percent are called genius.

Similarly, who do work impartially and without any expectation are known as honest. Due this habit they come into the sight of corrupt authority so they are harassed. At this stage, due to loopholes of the system, they do not get justice.

In conclusion, the statement comes to be true A person should not be too honest; Straight Trees are cut first. Hence the corruption is increasing rapidly so the country is not in progress as ambition.

Honestly being honest is going to bring your true self in close connection with the almighty and you will be attempted to be examined by giving you troubles in your professional and personal life.

Honesty will make you angry for fraudulent behaviour and your expectations will never get fulfilled because you will invite trouble from folks who are jealous of your purity and will try setting up false images of you to make people trouble you. Life will undergo revenge from folks who disliked you competing with them. This will cause weird and bad situations, Spying on your activities, and using political, managerial folks, customer care folks, high end connections will help revengeful folks manage taking revenge. So don't be target of anybody honestly. Thank you.
