E(ev) = 12400/(wave length in Angstrom).
According to answer, the wavelength may be 12000 A° instead of 1200 A°.

E(in ev) = 1.24/wavelength in Micrometer.
Here given unit of wavelength is wrong.

1 A = 10^-10 METER.
Now solve,
E(ev) = 1.24/1200*10^-4.
Now solve,
E(ev) = 1.24/1200*10^-4.

Answer would be (1.24/(1200*10-4))= 10.3ev.
