We can use basic algebra here by ratio and proportion.

20000 ohm/volt means 20000 ohm per unit of volt.

Let x= internal resistance,

20000 ohm/volt=x/5volts.

So x = 20000*5 = 100,000ohm.

The voltmeter have an internal resistance of 20,000 ohm/volt.

That is for 1 volt the resistance is 20,000 ohm.

Therefore, for 5 volt the resistance is = 5*20,000 = 1,00,000 ohm.

For voltmeter operation very low current needed, hence it contains internal resistance in series, hence 5 resistors will be added and we will get 100000.

I = 1/(Ifsd).

Ifsd = Full scale deflection i.e. Sensitivity of the meter.

I = 1/20000 = 0.5 x 10^-4.

R = V/I.

R = 5/0.5 x 10^-4.

R = 100, 000 ohm.

Don't tell me that IR is internal resistance? base on the ohms law I= amperes R= resistance, and E= volts. IR=V? in the ohms law pyramid not this IR*V?

For 1 volt internal resistance is 20000 ohms.

For 5 volt internal resistance is ? (X).

V is proportional to R hence 1/5 =20000/X.

Hence X=100000.

Don't think complicate manner just think about logic its simple the question is per volt it.

Consumes om 20000 there fore 5 volts just multiply it.

According to voltmeter sensitivity(ohm/volt),

S=total voltmeter res./ full scale reading=Rm/Vfs.

or, Rm = S*Vfs = 20000*5 = 100,000 ohm.

This is sensitivity concept.
Sensitivity = 2000ohm/volt.
Voltage = 5v
So, s = ohm/volt.

Ohm = s * volt.
Ohm = 2000 * 5,
Ohm = 10000ohm.
