Avg = Sum of all observations/Total number of observations.

Avg interest= (23.4+33.5+41.6+36.4+49.4) /5.
= 36.66 lakhs.

Add the smallest and largest value and divide with 2. you will get nearest value.

Here it is,
(23.4+49.4)/2 gives 36.4 (nearest value).
