@All.

Here;

It's a given statement from a table to remember as it is,

Maximum daily demand = 1.8 x average daily demand,
Maximum hourly demand of maximum day i.e. Peak demand,

= 1.5 x average hourly demand.
= 1.5 x Maximum daily demand/24.
= 1.5 x (1.8 x average daily demand)/24.
= 2.7 x average daily demand/24.
= 2.7 x annual average hourly demand.

So, E is the correct answer.

If it was annual Average hourly demand then the answer is 2.7. And now 1.5.

Average means not maximum.

So, factor use higher 2.7.

Given answer is correct.

As 1.5 is max hourly consumption factor and 1.8 is the max daily consumption factor.

In question, it is asked that ratio of maximum hourly consumption and average hourly consumption of the maximum day. So we have to apply both factors to avg daily consumption.

1.5-1.8 = 2.7.

C is the correct answer. Maximum daily consumption=1.8 * average consumption.

Agree, the correct answer is option E.

B is correct and if the question would be for average hourly consumption for average daily instead of max daily then option E should be valid.
