If a person walks at 14 km/hr instead of 10 km/hr, he would have walked 20 km more. The actual distance travelled by him is:
50 km
56 km
70 km
80 km
Answer: Option
Explanation:

Let the actual distance travelled be x km.

Then, x = x + 20
10 14

14x = 10x + 200

4x = 200

x = 50 km.

Walking at 14 km/h or even 10 km/h is. Unrealistic.

I do not understand why x+20 has taken in solution?

VIJAY said:   1 decade ago
5*10 = 50 because t = 5 and Distance = Speed*Time.
