The price of 10 chairs is equal to that of 4 tables. The price of 15 chairs and 2 tables together is Rs. 4000. The total price of 12 chairs and 3 tables is:
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Let the cost of a chair and that of a table be Rs. x and Rs. y respectively.
Then, 10x = 4y or y = | 5 | x. |
2 |
15x + 2y = 4000
![]() |
5 | x = 4000 |
2 |
20x = 4000
x = 200.
So, y = | ![]() |
5 | x 200 | ![]() |
= 500. |
2 |
Hence, the cost of 12 chairs and 3 tables = 12x + 3y
= Rs. (2400 + 1500)
= Rs. 3900.

=> 10 chair = 4 tables.
Then, 5 chair= 2 tables.
So, 15 chair + 2 table= 4000/- (given).
Means;
5c = 1000/-.
5c = 1000/-.
5c = 1000/-.
2t = 1000 (since 5c=2tables).
Then, 1 table = 1000/2.
=500/-.
1 chair = 1000/5.
=200/-.
Question is-.
12 chair + 3table = ?
12 * 200 + 3 * 500= 2400 + 1500 = 3900/-.
Then, 5 chair= 2 tables.
So, 15 chair + 2 table= 4000/- (given).
Means;
5c = 1000/-.
5c = 1000/-.
5c = 1000/-.
2t = 1000 (since 5c=2tables).
Then, 1 table = 1000/2.
=500/-.
1 chair = 1000/5.
=200/-.
Question is-.
12 chair + 3table = ?
12 * 200 + 3 * 500= 2400 + 1500 = 3900/-.

Cost of 10C and 4T is same as 15C and 2T.
Total - 4000 either you buy 10c and 4t or 15c or 2t.
Cost will remain the same.
Now 10c = 2000 and 4t = 2000 so 2000/10 and 2000/4 you will get- 200 and 500 so 12c * 200 and 3t * 500.
Now you get 2400 + 1500 = 3900.
Total - 4000 either you buy 10c and 4t or 15c or 2t.

Now you get 2400 + 1500 = 3900.

According to me,
Solution :
One tab = 250.
One chair = 200
Then
12c * 200 = 2400
3t * 250 = 750
Total = 3150 not 3900.
Solution :
One tab = 250.
One chair = 200
Then
12c * 200 = 2400
3t * 250 = 750
Total = 3150 not 3900.

10chairs=4tables.
Given that ( 15chairs+2tables=4000).
so (6tables+2tables=4000) we got 6 tables here because 4T=10C so 15C=6T
8tables =4000.
1 table =500.
now chairs.
10chairs=4tables hence (4*500=2000).
10chairs=2000.
1chair=200.
now 12chairs+3tables=12*200+3*500=2400+1500=3900.
Given that ( 15chairs+2tables=4000).
so (6tables+2tables=4000) we got 6 tables here because 4T=10C so 15C=6T
8tables =4000.
1 table =500.
now chairs.
10chairs=4tables hence (4*500=2000).
10chairs=2000.
1chair=200.
now 12chairs+3tables=12*200+3*500=2400+1500=3900.
