The price of 10 chairs is equal to that of 4 tables. The price of 15 chairs and 2 tables together is Rs. 4000. The total price of 12 chairs and 3 tables is:
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Let the cost of a chair and that of a table be Rs. x and Rs. y respectively.
Then, 10x = 4y or y = | 5 | x. |
2 |
15x + 2y = 4000
![]() |
5 | x = 4000 |
2 |
20x = 4000
x = 200.
So, y = | ![]() |
5 | x 200 | ![]() |
= 500. |
2 |
Hence, the cost of 12 chairs and 3 tables = 12x + 3y
= Rs. (2400 + 1500)
= Rs. 3900.

Chair- x, table-y.
10x= 2y.
when you divide them by 2, you get:
5x = 2y -----------> (1)
15x+2y= 4000
15x+5x= 4000,
20x= 4000.
x= 4000/20= 200.
y=5x/2= 5*200/2= 500.
The total of 12 chairs and 3 tables is:
12 * 200 + 3 * 500 = 3900.
10x= 2y.
when you divide them by 2, you get:
5x = 2y -----------> (1)
15x+2y= 4000
15x+5x= 4000,
20x= 4000.
x= 4000/20= 200.
y=5x/2= 5*200/2= 500.
The total of 12 chairs and 3 tables is:
12 * 200 + 3 * 500 = 3900.

15C+2T=4000
12C+3T=?
8/4000 = 500( 15Chairs = 6 tables +2 tables =8 tables) table cost = 500.
4000-1000 = 3000(sub).
3000/15 = 200(chair cost=200),
12x200 = 2400,
3x500 = 1500.
2400 + 1500 = 3900(Answer).

10 chairs X =4 Tables Y.
Then, 10X =4Y.
Divide both sides by 2.
5x = 2y came,
5x multiplication equal to reciprocal divide & Keep it;
X in the left side only take 5,
Like this X = 5/2 Y.
Then, 10X =4Y.
Divide both sides by 2.
5x = 2y came,
5x multiplication equal to reciprocal divide & Keep it;
X in the left side only take 5,
Like this X = 5/2 Y.

5/2 Came By
10x = 4y
=> 5x = 2y
=> y = 5/2x.
5/2 Came By
10x = 4y
=> 5x = 2y
=> y = 5/2x.

4table=10chair.
So 2 table=(10*-2)÷4 =5chair
Again,
3table=(10*3)÷4=15/2
(5+15) chair=4000.
So, 1chair=4000÷20=200
So,
15/2+12=39/2
So,(39÷2)*200=3900.
Answer:-39000.
So 2 table=(10*-2)÷4 =5chair
Again,
3table=(10*3)÷4=15/2
(5+15) chair=4000.
So, 1chair=4000÷20=200
So,
15/2+12=39/2
So,(39÷2)*200=3900.
Answer:-39000.

10 Chairs = 4 tables.
5 Chairs = 2 tables.
15 chairs + 2 tables(5 chairs) = 4000.
20 chairs = 4000.
1 chairs = 200.
1 tables = 2.5 chairs.
2.5*200 = 500.
12C+3T = 12*200+3*500 = 2400+1500 = 3900.
5 Chairs = 2 tables.
15 chairs + 2 tables(5 chairs) = 4000.
20 chairs = 4000.
1 chairs = 200.
1 tables = 2.5 chairs.
2.5*200 = 500.
12C+3T = 12*200+3*500 = 2400+1500 = 3900.

Easy way: If 10C=4T then 5C=2T......(1)
given 15C+2T=4000
using (1) we get C=200 & T=500
Hence we can find remaining...

=> 10 chair = 4 tables.
Then, 5 chair= 2 tables.
So, 15 chair + 2 table= 4000/- (given).
Means;
5c = 1000/-.
5c = 1000/-.
5c = 1000/-.
2t = 1000 (since 5c=2tables).
Then, 1 table = 1000/2.
=500/-.
1 chair = 1000/5.
=200/-.
Question is-.
12 chair + 3table = ?
12 * 200 + 3 * 500= 2400 + 1500 = 3900/-.
Then, 5 chair= 2 tables.
