9.
Two trains are moving in opposite directions @ 60 km/hr and 90 km/hr. Their lengths are 1.10 km and 0.9 km respectively. The time taken by the slower train to cross the faster train in seconds is:
36
45
48
49
Answer: Option
Explanation:

Relative speed = (60+ 90) km/hr

   = 150 x 5 m/sec
18

   = 125 m/sec.
3

Distance covered = (1.10 + 0.9) km = 2 km = 2000 m.

Required time = 2000 x 3 sec = 48 sec.
125

T = D/S.
D = 1100m + 900m = 2,000.
S(relative) = (60+90) * 5/18 = 41.667,
T = 2000/41.667 =48.

@All.

Here's the solution:
Total distance = 2km;
total speed = 150;
time in seconds = (2/150)x3600 = 48 Answer.

Soluution,
First, the direction of the train is opposite so we will add the speed s1+s2..
Then, the length of the train first and second train t1+t2..
S1 + S2=60 + 90 = 150 km/hr.
T1+T2 = 1.10 + 0.9 = 2 km.

Formula,
t= d/s
t = 2km/150km/hr
1km-1000m
So, 2km - 2000m.

t = 2000m/150 *5/18 m/sec.
Convert km/hr into m/sec;
(150 km/hr -> 5/18 m/sec).
After solving we will get,
t= 48sec.

T = length/speed.
T = 2000/3/725,
T = 48 sec.

U = (1.10+0.9)km/(90+60)km/hr,
= 2km/150km/hr,
= 2/150 hr.
= 2/150 = 0.0133hr = 0.0133 * 60 * 60 = 48sec.
