Explanation:

The year 2004 is a leap year. So, it has 2 odd days.

But, Feb 2004 not included because we are calculating from March 2004 to March 2005. So it has 1 odd day only.

The day on 6th March, 2005 will be 1 day beyond the day on 6th March, 2004.

Given that, 6th March, 2005 is Monday.

6th March, 2004 is Sunday (1 day before to 6th March, 2005).

This is an easy way to solve that all problems:

It is used to solve all problems. I have given below.

2004>>>is a leap year 366days ,feb-29-1 odd day
100 years>>> 5odd day.
200years>>>3 odd day.
300 years>>> 1odd day.
400 years>>> 0 odd day.

Month of total 31 days means>>>3 odd day.
Month of total 30 days means>>>2odd day.
Month of total 28 days means>>>0 odd day.

Solution:

6th march 2004

1. 1600+400+3yr+(jan+feb)+6days.

400=0,4*400=1600,3yr we check how many leap year& ordinary year 3/4=not divisible So take 3 are odd.

2.0+0+3(1-odd)+(3+0)+6.
3.14 /7.
4.2 weeks 0 odd day.
5.we know 0 odd day is sunday.

So the answer is SUNDAY.

There we need to follow 6 steps

1. Last two digits of the year in given is 04
2. Divide by 4 of the year is 01
3. Take the date in given is 06
4. Take the month in given is 03 (according to the formulas)
5. Take the year in given is 06.
(Add all the values - 04+01+06+03+06=20).
6. Divided by 7 of the values of 20 is 06

Here 06 is the value but we have one odd day in the year, let we add that the odd day in it is 06+01 = 07.

Hence the answer is 07 which means it is Sunday.

Because,
2000 = 0 odd day
2001 = 1 odd day
2002 = 1 odd day
2003 = 1 odd day.

Total (2001-2003) = 3 odd days.
2004 [Jan(31) + Feb(29) + Mar(06) = 66 days.
; 66/7 = 9 weeks 3 odd days.
Total odd days = 0 +3 + 3 = 6.
So, 6 is Saturday.

It is correct!

If you calculate the day on 6th March 2005 then it is actually Sunday but in question given that it is Monday. It means there is +1 with the actual date. Similarly When we calculate 6th march 2004 then it will be Saturday but according to the condition provided in question we have to add +1 then it will be Sunday. That's why Sunday is the right answer.

As from 6th March 2004 to 5th March 2005, we have one day. And 2 odd days till 6th March 2005. Which implies if 6th march 2004 is xth day then 5th march 2005 is (x+1)th day then comes 6th march which is (x+2)th day => if (x+2)th day is Monday then x is Saturday.
