Ten over run rate is 3.2

So 10*3.2= 32.

Then Target 282-32 = 250.

Remaining over is 40.

250/40= 6.25 answer.

Why we are writing 3.2*10 ?

They asking only remainig 40 over run rate. So why use of first 10 over?

How do we arrive at the solution.? What is the logic?

Pratik Mehta said:   2 decades ago
@Kavita : Run rate * overs = runs scored.

So now Run rate = Runs scored/required / overs.

There 282 - (3.2 x 10) = Runs required

Remaining overs are 40.

Why do we minus 282-(3.2*10)...?

Muhundhan said:   2 decades ago
So we calculate the runs in the first 10 overs
first 10 overs they got 32 runs
remaining 40 overs they got 250
250 / 40 =6.25
