Give answer:

  • (A) If only (1) conclusion follows
  • (B) If only (2) conclusion follows

RULE: to solve problems of syllogism, one should draw every possible Venn diagrams and a conclusion is right if it satisfies ALL Venn diagrams.

I think so, option (A) is correct. If some cows are crows and some crows are elephants then, of course, some cows will be elephants. Can anyone justify how option (D) is correct?

Option A is absolutely correct. The statement should satisfy all the conditions!

@Mohit Puri. Your explanation is incorrect.

We apply the principle of minimum overlapping while answering the question which has no possibility in conclusion while we apply the principle of maximum overlapping when we have to answer the questions with possibilities.

We need to consider both Venn diagrams if anyone of the possibility is false then we cannot take the rest. The option needs to be A.

According to me, Option A is the right answer. Because of the 2nd diagram shows that some cows or crows are elephants.

According to me, A is the correct answer.

According to diagram 2, some cows may be an elephant, then it satisfies conclusion I.

So, option A will be correct.
